Tulsa, Oklahoma 1965

(quick y/n backstory her parents got divorced and her dad was the one who left she stayed with her mother but sense the divorce her mother blamed y/n for her dad leaving and always compared her to her dad they got in a lot of arguments and her mother would say some brutal things but at the end of teh night she would apologize but edventually y/n stopped forgiving her and now there like strangers who live together)

It was a chilly night in Tulsa I was wearing a white tank top with a black leather jacket and jeans and my chuck taylors doing my hair I snuck out the house through my bedroom window to svoid my mom. Johnny had invited me to the drive in with his friends me and Johnny have been real good friends for a long time and he always talked about the gang we met in a park 2 years ago when we had both coincidentally ran away one night. Me and Johnny had gotten along real well especially over our home issues he was always a good person to talk to. Tonight I'm meeting a couple of his friends and I'm real nervous. I arrived at the movie theater climbing through the hole under the fence that Johnny told me about when I noticed Johnny and a tall guy with dark brown hair and a brown leather jacket and smoking a weed next him was a shorter younger looking boy with lighter hair and a dark blue muscle shirt. I walked over and greeted Johnny with a hug. "Hey y/n long time no see"Johnny said the younger boy next to him reached out his arm and said "hey I'm ponyboy" huh " uh I'm y/n you have a very original name I like it" I said shaking his hand. "Yeah my old man was very original I have a brother named soda pop"he answered. The older boy said "im dallas" while taking a long drag of his ciggerette I won't lie he was kinda cute tue movie started and Johnny and I walked to go get some coke and popcorn. When we got back there was two soc girls a read head I had noticed her from school her name is sherry valance but everyone calls her cherry I assume becuase of her hair and her friend Marcia I say next to Johnny and cherry looked back and said "what's a girl like you doing hanging out with men like them" I kinda felt offended but I just responded with "I guess I'm one of "them" "I didn't mean it like that I'm so sorry" she said I didn't really care as I've heard much worse but I didn't say anything I just sat down a seat away from her when I felt someone touching my hair I looked back and it was Dallas "your one fine broad aren't ya" he said i just gave him a look of ew and Johnny made him back off at the end of the movie we dropped pony off at home and dally went his own way me and Johnny headed to the lot leaning on his shoulder we watched the stars and I slowly dozed off
