My dad was never in my life and my mom died when I was 5 years old. I lived with a family friend who is an amazing woman. She taught me how the world is so much bigger than anyone could ever imagine. My eyes were opened up to a whole different world straight out of books. With werewolves, vampires, elves, witches and so much more. She herself was a witch over 200 years old. And even though my family were humans we were mingled in closely with this world, only few humans know and accept this other side. I learned which families were which, and although I learned all this, my life was averagely normal.
Aunty May isnt my actual aunt, she was my god parent and took me in after her best friend died. I would later on find out that my mom's death wasn't an accident. My Aunt eventually left in the summer before my senior year of high school to figure out what really happened. She waited until she knew I would be okay by myself.
I met Eliza at a 2 week stay over summer camp. She was very loud, happy and talkative. I had just moved to that town and my Aunty May thought it would be a good way for me to make friends before school started. She was right because Eliza became my best friend, we were inseparable.
I was more of a shy kid, kind of timid and unsure. I didn't talk much but Eliza talked enough for the both of us. She took me in as a new friend our first day at camp. Quickly telling me who everyone was in the town, which kids belonged to which family's.
When we first moved to this town we went to their large house in the middle of the woods. Aunty May eventually told me that that was a pack house and their family is full of werewolves. She taught me the different families and which ones were supernatural and which ones weren't.
Eliza Mary Coleman. The Coleman family was well known in this town, her dad, John Coleman, was the sheriff. Her mom Emily Coleman was a stay at home mom. Their whole family line was humans. They had no clue they were in the territory of the Calypso Pack.
I met Enzo Silas Wren for the first time in that summer camp. Eliza didn't know he was a werewolf of course. I had met his parents a week prior at the pack house. Kayden and Elora Wren, the pack's strongest Warrior and Tracker. He was away training when we visited.
"That's Enzo Wren, And next to him is Maze Gray. Maze's dad owns this entire town, and they own like a private community in the forest. It's very exclusive and really hard to get approval to move into. My dads tried over and over again." In reality she was talking about the center of the pack. Which included the pack house and surrounding houses to fit their pack. Maze's father, Demarcus Black, is the Alpha and does not allow humans onto the grounds unless it's a special case.
Eliza and I had become attached by the hip during the 2 week summer camp. We shared a cabin with 6 other girls and a counselor. The boys were in a separate cabin. During this 2 week excursion she formed the largest crush possible on Enzo, as he and Maze hung out with us the entire time. We all got very close, but never really spoke again after our parents picked us up. Eliza and I tried to see when we could hang out again, and we walked in on his dad giving him a stern talk. We couldn't hear what was said but whatever it was Enzo didn't like it. He got visibly angry as his mom tried to calm the situation down. Eliza stumbled, making the whole family snap their attention to us.
They hurriedly got into their car and left. We didn't see Enzo again until school started but he stayed away from us. We knew each other, he knew I knew about him, and he was kind and friendly to everyone. He was the nice lovable kid who just naturally became popular. Everyone knew and loved him. Never rude and always polite. He just didn't hang out with us anymore and kept the conversation short.
Now years later, our junior year is about to finish. We only have 2 weeks left. I'll be turning 18 at the end of the summer. And life is turning very averagely and slowly.
