AU where phones are allowed

Annabeth scrolled mindlessly on her phone not knowing what to do. 2 A.M. came around quicker than she thought. Minutes turned into hours, and hours turned into stalking her best friend's Instagram, for totally no reason. (wink wink) Annabeth knew better than to like a post, but the one of him shirtless at the beach must have removed all logical thoughts from her head. As the screen light up, she had realized what she'd done.  

When Percy woke up to an Instagram notification, he was confused to say the least. Nobody ever liked his post, he only posts for the memories, because why the hell not. When he saw the time and user, he let out a small laugh. Annabeth's account had liked his post from Montauk he was embarrassed. He forgot to delete that picture weeks ago. It was him sitting shirtless in the sand smiling. He was happy knowing Annabeth had liked a picture of him, but something made him wonder why she had liked the beach photo and not any other photo. A timestamp of 2:37 A.M. made him question every reality he was living in. 

Annabeth knew she would have to face the reality of what she had done later that day. Getting ready was the most stressful thing she had ever done, and she had been sent on quests for years. Tying to wrangle a brush through her hair was an impossible effort, so she walked herself over to a dresser to change into an outfit the same as all the others, but he knew this one would somehow end up having really good memories attached to it or really bad ones. Just a regular CHB shirt and jean shorts. What could go wrong? 

A knock on Percy's door flung him out of the bathroom. He staggered to the door wrestling a shirt onto his body. Bedhead still very much present he opened the door to see a nervous Annabeth fiddling with her shirt. A wide smirk appeared on his face. "What's wrong wise girl?" Annabeth looked up and stammered out a small "nothing". His smirk grew even wider when she walked in and plopped down on the floor. Sprawled out Annabeth let out a sigh and then Percy let out a small chuckle. "Like to explain" Percy said as he held up his phone with the notification loudly jumping off the screen. 

When Percy held up his phone Annabeth's heart stopped beating and she might as well have gone into shock. She sat up stunned without saying anything. She just sat there with her arms crossed she stared at him blankly. They sat there for 30 seconds with Percy looking smug as ever and Annabeth awkwardly sitting there. When Percy opened his mouth Annabeth knew it was over for her and her alibi she never even said. 

"You want to shove me up against a wall and kiss me till' I bleed, don't you?" Annabeth went red as she stood up a walked a few steps in varying directions. Percy ran up to Annabeth and he grabbed her close. "Why else would you like a picture of me shirtless at 2 o'clock in the fucking morning?" Annabeth had never heard Percy talk like that and Percy had never even heard himself speak like that. His mom would not be proud. Percy backed away and profusely apologized for what he had done. 

Annabeth strutted her way over to a trembling Percy with a sudden burst of confidence. "Maybe I do, you'll never know." Annabeth positioned herself so she wasn't quite straddling him, but she had her hands on his shoulders and had her hips up against his. Percy did something that shocked the both of them. He picked her up and put her legs around his waist and his hands supporting her from her thighs. When Percy leaned in and started to kiss her hard there was no going back. First kisses were not supposed to be this passionate. Saliva down each other's through a knock on the door brought the two out of their heated bliss. 

"If you two are decent please for the love of all the gods open the door." Somebody assumed to be Thalia yelled from outside. They both knew they had missed breakfast which was unlike both of them. Well Shit.
