A Lesson in Learning

"Now, can anyone tell me where the Electric Safflina grows?"

"oh! I know!"

A young Zora shot his hand up excitedly, happy that he knew the answer.

"it's native to the Gerudo Desert!"

"Excellent! You're precisely right Tumbo!"

you clapped your webbed hands together, praising the Zora guppy, Tumbo smiled brightly, his ego boosted by his knowledge.

"The Electric Safflina has particular fibers that can conduct electricity! Some say that it increases your electricity resistance when cooked into a dish or elixir!"

You continued your lesson, impressed by Tumbo's knowledge and happy to see your students engaged and eager to learn. As a teacher, it's always satisfying to see your students absorb new knowledge and apply it to their lives.

"There are two more types of Safflina, can anyone tell me their names?"

Though there were only four of them: Keye, Tumbo, Finley and Laruta. They were bright and sponges for knowledge. You were very proud of their learning skills, your teaching has taught them so many things they will use later in their lives, despite what the Zora elders think.

As you taught the four guppies, you had an extra student listening from afar.

Prince Sidon was leaning against a post, his focus solely on you and your current Herbology lesson.

He enjoyed watching you teach, the way your eyes lit up when one of your peers answered correctly, and how you smiled when you're teaching a subject you like.

Although being Zora's prince was a busy and tiring job, he made sure to stop by and listen, he was the reason you were able to teach them after all.

He didn't even notice that his eyes locked with yours.

You noticed the fish prince, his bright red scales and armor shining in the sun. Though his face was halfway shaded, you could spot his piercing yellow eyes from afar.

You smiled at him, closing your book and refocusing your attention back on the Guppies.

"wonderful work everyone! I think everyone is due for some free time!"

The young Zoras jumped in excitement, smiling widely.

Tumbo looked over at his quiet friend in excitement.

"Keye! let's go catch some frogs!!"

"f-frogs?"

As soon as the lesson came to a close, the prince seized the moment and strolled towards you, flashing his trademark smile.

"Hello everyone!" He spoke loudly and confidently, his arms extended out.

His smile was contagious, causing you to smile back at him, bowing your head in respect. The young Guppies gasped at his presence.

"It's the prince!"

"woah!"

"look at his sword!"

"good morning your highness," you spoke respectfully, a soft smile still on your features. "We were just about to head out for playtime, would you like to join us?"

The prince could feel the butterflies inside his stomach when looking at your smile, but he was able to keep his cool and stoic demeanor.

As you did, he bowed to you, gently taking ahold of your hand and kissing the top of it.

"I would love to join you!"

You could feel your face heat up from the sudden contact. Your young students gasped and ooo'ed at the scene before them.
