Will stares at himself in the mirror, his eyes examine his blue suit. The white dress shirt is tight around his neck, it doesn't help that a blue and black striped tie is around his neck too. His shirt tucks into his royal blue dress pants that match his suit jacket. A black belt wraps around his waist tightly, securing his pants. It's all wrong. All of it. Will hates dressing up, he doesn't like how the clothes cling to his body and he thinks it makes him look like an uptight professor. Suits are for fancy restaurants and work meetings, not some food party that Will doesn't even want to go too.

Hannibal has invited Will to one of his dinner parties, originally Will had said no but Hannibal was able to use his charm and persuade Will into coming. Dr. Lecter is always inviting him to dinner parties and Will supposes it's about time he finally attends one.

He adjusts his glasses, he decides he doesn't like how they look with the suit and takes them off before putting on contacts. He blinks rapidly till his vision clears and he checks himself out once more.

Sighing heavily, he checks the time,

6:01 PM

Hannibal's party begins at 6:30, he'll have to leave now before he's even later than he plans to be.

With that, he says goodbye to his dogs and locks the front door before driving off to Hannibal's place. He's been there a few times and is quite familiar with the route to his house.

Will should arrive around 7 PM, a perfect time. The party would start and he would arrive late, causing him to be able to slip in unnoticed and not have to socialize with everyone right off the bat. By then everybody will be in their own groups and mingling with friends rather than strangers.

As Will drives he can't help but think about why he accepted Hannibal's offer. He hates socializing, especially with rich snobs that think they're better than everyone else. The brunette already knows this is going to be a terrible evening. He's not even sure if anybody from the FBI was invited, meaning he'll probably be alone all night.

Will huffs and eventually arrives at Hannibal's mansion. Cars are parked outside along the road, it takes Will a few minutes to actually find a spot. He parks and gets out of the car. He closes the door and looks up at the large house in front of him, dreading the evening.

He walks down the sidewalk for a few minutes until he reaches the outside of Dr. Lecter's house. He looks up once again and musters the courage to approach the door. He places his hand on the doorknob and turns it slowly. As soon as the door opens he's greeted by classical music as well as the sound of chattering amongst others.

Already he feels the tightness in his shirt again, he swallows hard and tugs gently at the collar of his shirt, trying to breathe better. He's quick to close the door and walk inside, getting away from the door.

The nauseating feeling of anxiety hits him, Will starts sweating. His eyes scan across the room, noticing all the expensive tuxes and dresses people are wearing. Almost instantly he starts to feel excluded, he knows he shouldn't be here and that nobody actually wants him here either.

It was a mistake to come here, Will doesn't fit in here, he never will. The brunette turns towards the door and starts making his way back to it, planning on leaving.

Just as he reaches out to the doorknob he hears a familiar voice.

"Going so soon William?" Will turns around to be greeted by Hannibal, who is holding a glass full of wine.
