Melody Of Slipknot

Chapter 7

We spent the whole day jamming and chatting. One time I accidentally dropped a glass of water and injured my left hand, luckily it wasn't serious and I could still play in time for the tour. Though it did leave a deep cut and Corey had to remove some glass shards from my hand.

2 weeks have passed and I got to know the Slipknot members. Jim is like a second father to me, Corey is like the eldest brother, Joey is the second brother and even though Sid is older than me, it felt like he was a younger brother to me and the others were uncles.

Corey got me someone to measure my size so they can create a suit for me and he also made me choose a mask. I chose a bunny mask and bought it, when I arrived to my house, I decorated the mask so it became more creepy looking.

Currently we're all at Mick's house, playing truth or dare and staying over for the night. Craig already went to sleep though, so he wasn't in the game.

"Hey Melody, truth or dare!" Sid asked, I didn't wanna have to do stuff so I just picked truth. "BORINGG!" Sid yelled, I giggled at his statement.

"Who's your favourite member in the band." He asked, it took me a while to think about it, and I finally made a decision.

"I think my personal favourite would be.. Joey." I said while smiling, Joey treated me like a little sister for the past few weeks. Although Corey and Sid did the same, Joey always spoiled me rotten and always hung out with me.

"SEE! I TOLD YOU I'M HER FAVOURITE!!" Joey yelled, grinning from ear to ear and pulling me into a hug. The others frowned at my decision as I laughed. "Don't worry, all of you are my favourite." I reassured.

"I'm still her number one though." Joey said, smirking while putting his arm around my shoulder.

We continued playing truth or dare until all of us are finally asleep. I fell asleep on Corey's shoulder and he picked me up to carry me into one of Mick's spare rooms. "Anyways Melody fell asleep so I'll go and tuck her to bed."  Corey said.

The others nodded and Corey went to one of the rooms and placed me on the bed. He tucked me in the blanket and patted me on the head softly. "Goodnight Melody." Corey spoke, I attempted to say goodnight to him but ended up mumbling the words as I fell asleep.

The next morning, I opened my eyes slowly to adjust to the light. I stretched on the bed remembering that I slept over at Mick's house. The smell of a delicious breakfast filled my nose, getting too excited for breakfast, I stood up from the bed too quickly. Causing me to almost black out and fall back on the floor with a thud.

I slowly sat myself up with a hand on my head as my head was aching badly, I kept forgetting to drink iron every time when it's that part of the month. The door flung open with Paul running towards me.

"Hey hey, what happened? Are you okay?" Paul asked with a concerned look on his face. Corey then entered the room and came up to me. "What the fuck happened?" Corey asked.

I groaned as my head was still aching and I stayed silent for a few seconds before answering Paul and Corey's question. "I keep forgetting to drink iron which then leads to me having iron deficiency and blacking out sometimes when I stand up too quickly." I responded.

Corey cussed under his breath before standing up and turning to the door, "I'll go get aspirin and iron, I'll be right back." He said as he headed outside the room to get some medications.

Paul helped me back on the bed and sat next to me and started patting my head. His pats calmed me down and made my headache go away a little bit. Corey came back with aspirin and iron pills while also holding a glass of water.

He gave me the pills and I swallowed them quickly. I rested against paul for a while before getting up for breakfast. The three of us then walked out of the bedroom and started heading to the kitchen where the kitchen table was already set up with our breakfast on our plates.

The others asked what happened in the room as I sat down on the table. Paul explained what happened to which all of them turned to me to ask if I'm okay. I reassured them that I was okay then started eating.
