The doorbell echoed through the hallway for what felt like eternity, until finally, the door creaked open. Standing before Detective Jeon was a middle-aged woman who seemed as restless as a ghost. Her eyes were filled with darkness and pain, and her curly hair framed her face like a veil of shadows.

"I am Detective Jeon, from the Metropolitan Police." The woman flinched hearing the words, as if something within her was about to break. "And I am here to talk to you about your brother, Mr.Park," he continued.

She took a step back and gestured towards the house, looking at the detective with a suspicious expression. "Please, come inside," she said, her voice trembling.

Detective Jeon stepped over the threshold and entered the dimly lit hallway. The air was heavy and filled with an unease that made him feel as if he were in the presence of death itself.

The woman's face crumpled. "I know what happened..." she said, as the tears streamed down her face.

Detective Jeon gently placed a hand on her shoulder, "I know it's hard, but I need your help."

The woman took a deep breath and wiped her tears away. "What do you need to know?" she asked, her voice laced with sadness.

Detective Jeon took a seat at the table and opened his notebook. "Anything you can tell me about your brother. Who he was, what he liked, who he hung out with, anything."

The woman closed her eyes and seemed to drift off into a sea of memories. "My brother...sometimes, he behaved strangely," the woman continued, visibly shaken. "I know he was independent and valued his privacy, but there were certain instances where he would disappear for days, without a word to anyone. He was also very protective of his nephew Park Jimin, he wouldn't let anyone near him. He was always so secretive about him. I always felt like he was hiding something from us all."

Detective Jeon listened carefully to her words, taking careful notes as she spoke. He tried to keep the tone of the conversations as gentle and compassionate as possible, he knew it was not an easy time for her.

Detective Jeon nodded, taking down her every word in his notebook. "I understand...but can you think of anyone who might have had a motive to harm him? Someone who might have had a falling out or a disagreement with him?"

"No...no one that I can think of," the woman replied, still trying to hold back her tears. "He was an independent and good person...I don't understand why anyone would want to harm him."

Detective Jeon looked at the woman across the table, "You mentioned that your brother was an independent and good person, but he sometimes acted strangely. Could you please elaborate on that?"

The woman hesitated for a moment, as if she was not sure if she wanted to share her observations with the detective. But after a few seconds, she spoke, "Yes, of course. It's just that...sometimes he would seem so distant and distracted, as if there was something else on his mind. I always tried to ask him what was wrong, but he never gave me a straight answer. It was as if he was hiding something from us."
