Ah yes, the Wii...it was such a nice console, and it still is nowadays!I've always been a fan for the Wii, always looking for new things to try in a emulator or in my real Wii if they weren't too dangerous. Oh my name is Jake by the way.

One day, while i was digging in the deepest parts of the internet, i saw a "beta" never announced or released Wii version, 4.4.It usually stops at 4.3, so that got me curious and i clicked on the link. It was a website explaining what the secret update is and contained also a download link for every region and a video showcasing someone installing the update.

I decided to download the update. It was a folder containing a WAD file, meaning i had to use the Homebrew channel. But just for security, i scanned the WAD file on my antivirus, and it looked like safe.

I uploaded it on my USB stick drive and plugged it into my Wii. I then opened the Homebrew channel and started the WAD. The app was simple, and when i started up there was a prompt saying "Installing..." with a progress bar. I could also click on the "More Info" tab to see what it was doing.

At 40% the Wii rebooted and it kept installing, classic if you have to touch some system files.

After the installation, the Wii booted up and i actually saw nothing different. The music was the same, animations too, apps were untouched. But when i clicked the settings, there was a new button called "Wii World". "I wonder what that does..." i said to myself before clicking the button..nothing happened but the music just stopped. "Maybe it's just a joke or it's not completed as it's a beta version?" i thought to myself. Then my tv screen went black and it started to take me in. I felt scared in that moment, the tv screen became like a portal..and i got in because i could do nothing else.

After a few seconds, the black surroundings turned white, and there was a screen saying "select your country" with a bunch of countries, from Japan to Italy. Luckily it said i could get out anytime in my room by pressing the home button of my Wii remote, which apparently i had in my pocket.

Not knowing what to click, i selected "China". After that, a new prompt appeared saying "Searching a nice location...This might take some minutes". Huh, i was curious where that would lead me.
