Waiting For...

Waiting for you to understand.

What? Me.

I don't ask for much just a hand

To help me comprehend.

Now and then I freak out,

But that's the beauty of growing up

You don't know what life's about

Love, hate? I don't care just accept me.

Waiting for you to respect.

What? Others.

You don't know what to expect,

So you mistreat people around you.

That hardly seems fair,

For respect be the first to show it.

Be polite and share

What's mine is yours.

Waiting for you to realise.

What? Everything.

Your faith, your lies

All the goodbyes you've said.

For you to stand up to your fears

And be the bigger person.

Let out your tears,

Don't be afraid of what lies ahead.

Waiting for you to believe.

What? In yourself.

There's nothing you can't achieve

Don't be nervous, love yourself as you are.

Do what feels right for you

No-one elses views matter

Only you can decide what to do.

Never doubt your ability to obtain greatness.

Waiting for you to confess.

What? Your sins.

No-one will think of you less.

Honesty is the best policy,

That's what I've heard.

No more secrets between us,

It will set your soul as free as a bird

So you can become a better man.

Waiting for you to reveal.

What? Your true feelings.

I gave you time to heal,

Waiting for you every minute.

You don't seem to understand my loyalty,

The passion I have for you.

Now it's time for my royalty,

And what I want is the truth.
