A/N: Sorry, I've been really busy lately, but I hope you enjoy.(y/n) was running through the twisted allies of the city, fleeing from a group of thugs. 'Dammit, why can't they just let it go! All I did was steal....' She laughed a little as she scaled a small shop, surveying the area for her persuers. Then she spotted them, a group of about five, wearing similar black jackets, each carrying some sort of makeshift weapon. 'Ah, what I wouldn't do for one of those.' she sighed as she noticed one carrying a large metal pipe. 'Then I'd get some respect for once! It's hard living on the streets... Ah whale!' (y/n) sat down and opened her bag. 'Three apples, a loaf of bread, and a canteen of water, wow, this was a good run. Wait a minute...' She noticed something gleam in the corner of the bag. Pulling it out, she realized it was a diamond pendant. 'Not too big, but who knows how much it's worth? So that's why they're so persistent to catch me.' She stood, securing the bag around her waist and climbing back down the building. 'It's getting late. I better get back to mom.' Once again breaking into a sprint, she swerved through the familiar streets and held the pendant securely in her hand. She looked down at it again. It seemed so out of place, in her dirty, tattered, glove. Suddenly, she ran straight into a man and fell backwards, her bag ripping open and the food spilling out. "Watch where you're g- Oh hey, look what we have here guys. It's the little thief!" (y/n) glanced up, to see the group of thugs looking down at her. She desperately scrambled up, trying to run away, but one of them grabbed her by the collar. "Not so fast little girl. I believe you have something that belongs to us." She kicked as hard as she could, luckily hitting him where the sun don't shine. He cursed and relaxed his grip, giving (y/n) the chance she needed to escape. Forgetting the food, she ran back from where she came. Looking down again, she realized she still had the pendant in her hand somehow. 'If these guys don't kill me, mom sure will for ruining my bag!' She heard the thugs in the distance, gaining on her. "She went this way! Hurry! I'll slit her thoat for the trouble she's caused!" (y/n) flinched and kept going, trying to lose her persuers in the maze of buildings and crowds of civilians. Losing track of where she was, she ducked behind a resturaunt, and straight into a dead end, with the enemy soon to follow. 'Gotta hide, gotta hide, shit, shit, bullcrap, shit!' A beaten trashcan stood in the corner. 'Desperate times right?' she quickly ran to the bin and leapt in. However, she never made it, because someone grabbed her neck and pinned her to the wall. "Now, bitch. Let's not have a repeat of last time. Where is the pendant?" (y/n) could barely breathe, much less talk, but she managed to spit ou, "Just try...ing to ...feed mom...not steal...thing!" The iron grip tightened. "So give it!" 'You know what. No. If I die, I'll make sure they never get this back!' She was raising her arm to throw down the charm, in hopes of breaking it, when suddenly a white feather fluttered down inbetween her and the thug. Both looked up, to see a sillouette of what looked like an angel perched on the edge of the roof. "You know, I don't appreciate people who oppress the weak." He said, before leaning forward, wings outstretched, and swooping down to the ground. They didn't have time to react before he whipped his wings around, throwing two of the men back against the wall. (y/n) was dropped to the floor, coughing, as the others went after the mysterious angel. He moved gracefully, but with power, as he dodged a punch and immediately grabbed the guy and threw him into the wall as well. (y/n) stared in awe. The angel was obviously a master of martial arts. Soon, only one was left, the one who had her in a death grip. "This is none of your business! She's a thief! She has it coming!" (y/n) studied him as he stood still. He dressed rather formally, a feather tucked into his blond hair. "Your opinion is biased. It is not your place to kill a criminal." The thug pulled a knife and turned towards (y/n). "Really? I disagree!" He lunged forward, but he could barely swing before a flash of white filled (y/n)'s vision, and next thing she knew, she was in the air, being carried by a pair of strong arms. The angel looked down at her with indifference. "So, what did you steal?" She blushed a little. 'Damn he's hot.' "Well..." She held out her hand, revealing the charm. He rolled his eyes as (y/n) continued. "B-But I didn't mean too! I was just getting some food for mom- Oh no! Mom! She's gonna be so mad!" Out of the corner of her eye she saw his lip twitch up in a supppressed smile. "It's not funny! She's gonna be so pissed man! She'll get a hot belt, glue some needles to it, and frickin whip me with it! I promised I'd be back before sunset!" She glanced up and the sliver of a moon hanging high in the sky. The angel still surpressed a smile. "What? Why are you smiling?" He bit his lip, still fighting the grin. "It's just, you were almost killed, a man with wings showed up, and carried you away into the air, and all you're concerned about is how angry your mother will be. It's slightly amusing." It wasn't until then, that (y/n) looked up at his wings, and fully comprehended the fact that she was flying. "OH CRAP AM I DEAD OR SOMETHING?!" He furrowed his brows. "Wait, what?" She ran a hand through her hair. "Well, it makes sense! I was being strangled, and an angel appeared and now I'm flying to who knows where and this will make mom even angrier!" He sighed. "No you're not dead, and I'm sure your mother will understand the situation. Just relax." (y/n) did, laying back in his grip, and simply staring at him. 'Hot damn, he's fine.' Eventually, she fell asleep.

When she woke up, (y/n) was in a huge bed. 'What the heck? Where am I?" Suddenly a girl with short black hair walked in. "Hello. How are you feeling?" (y/n) looked down at the clothes she was wearing. "Uh... Fine... Who changed me?" The girl nodded. "Me. I hope you like it. Only thing I could find that fit you." (y/n) nodded in return. 'Hmm. Pants, and a top. Nicer than a skirt..." The girl sat on the edge of the bed, and pulled out a pouch. She began eating the contents. "Uh... Can I have one...?" Her head immediately whipped back. She pointed at the bag which read, "Kurome's snacks." (y/n) leaned back awkwardly. "So, your name's Kurome?" She noddd and kept eating. "You know, all of us were surprised at your arival last night. Run hardly seems interested in the well being of individual civilians." (y/n) looked up again. "Run? The guy with the wings?" Kurome sighed. "No, the one with the stuffd animal collection. Yes the guy with wings. There's also Wave, Seryu, and General Esdeath. There was two others but... nevermind. Would you like to eat something now?" (y/n) nodded and tried reaching fo her pouch, to which she abrubtly jumped away. "No touchie."

Kurome led her to a sort of meeting room, to where a guy and a girl were sitting, chatting, while Run stood in the corner, looking out a window. Upon their arrival, all heads turned to her. "Well hey! I'm Seryu, and that's Wave! I'm pretty sure you know the other two, so let's be friends, ok?" (y/n) nodded awkwadly and stood in the dorrway as Kurome joined Wave and Seryu. Suddenly, Run was next to her. "How are you?" He asked, as indifferent as ever. "Fine, thanks for saving me and all." He nodded. "That pendant actually looks quite nice on you." (y/n) brought a hand to her neck, feeling the stolen charm on a chain. Run did that small sliver of a smile and walked past her and down the hall. "Hope to see you around, (y/n)."
The girl stood, flustered for a minute, then smiled. "Yeah, you definitely will."
