"Come now, Sendak. All I desire is the crystal; give it to me and this can all be over with."
"N-Never. I...I would rather die than betray your father..."
As he gazed down his finely shaped nose at the bleeding being currently hunched at his feet, Lotor gave a little tut followed by a shake of his head before dramatically drawing his sword from its scabbard, the ornate golden handle glistening in the sunlight with such magnificence that it nearly distracted the onlooker from the splatters of dried blood on the blade itself.
"You believe that filthy urchin will bring you back, don't you? You do not fear death yet because you do not believe that it shall keep its hands on you. I don't know whether or pity you or laugh in your face." he drawled as he inspected the sword closely before tucking it beneath Sendak's chin. "Don't be a fool; give me the stone and I will consider letting you live out the rest of your days on the lowest deck of my brig."
"I will not speak....I do not fear you, little prince...." Sendak spat, his single eye glowing with defiance as he glared back at the young marauder.
"I see. Your type of loyalty is very rare to find amongst our kind, Sendak; I wonder why that is." Lotor sneered, and without so much of a blink of hesitation, he ran his blade clean through the older pirate's neck, bathing the wooden floorboards with more blood. Sendak's eye widened slightly from shock before drooping closed as the force of the blow sent him falling onto his back, his jaw hanging agape as his last breath escaped into the open air. After wiping his weapon as clean as he could with a cloth he always kept on his person, Lotor gingerly slid it back into his scabbard before circling around to Sendak's side, a knowing smile on his lips.
"You really thought I didn't already know where you hid it, did you? How disappointing for you; it would seem that you died for nothing then." he crowed mockingly before kneeling down and pushing aside the patch covering the corpse's left eye. Smirking as he was greeted by the sight of the orange crystal glittering up at him from behind Sendak's partially open eyelid, he carefully plucked the little gem out and proceeded to clean it off with the same cloth he had used for his blade before proceeding to inspect it for any damage.
"Captain, the rest of the crew has either died, thrown themselves overboard, or sworn their loyalty to you. What do you want us to do with the ship?" Zethrid crowed as she sauntered up behind him, Acxa, Narti, and Ezor in tow.
"I have no need for it, so take whatever loot you can find in the next few minutes and then send it to the ocean floor along with the other presents I have left for my father."
Zethrid's lips widened into a grin that would've put the Cheshire Cat to shame. "Aye, you heard the captain! Take however much loot you can carry and head back to the ship."
As her crewmates scrambled about like hungry dogs around her, Acxa quietly approached Lotor and placed her hand on his shoulder to get his attention.
"Sir, I do not mean to question your judgment, but is this not risky? Surely your father will eventually take notice of your actions and realize what you are up to." she said solemnly, her eyes skimming along the horizon as if she expected to see that ship with tattered black sails appear at any given moment.
"So what if he does? I do not fear him. It is he that should fear me." Lotor smirked as he held the crystal up to the light of the sun and watched it sparkle. "I swore on my mother's grave that I would see that slimy seadog dead and now I have the means to do it. Now, where is that scatterbrain Sparrow? I need our next heading."
