Over at the carnival grounds, Marinette tugged onto her mother's arm
Marinette: Mommy, I wanna go on the carousel!
Sabine: No, honey. We have to get going. Tomorrow is your birthday. We have a lot of preparing to do.
She began to whine & whimpered a bit
Marinette: Mommy! Please, please, please!
Sabine: Oh, okay, then. Come on, let's go.
A smile showed on the young bluenette's face
Marinette: Yay!
Sabine took ahold of her daughter's hand, leading her over towards the horse ride
Marinette: I can see the cute horses, Mommy! I can't wait to ride it!
She let go of her mother's hand, running over to the ride
Sabine: Marinette, wait! Don't run off! Wait for me!
Marinette ignored her mother's cries & ran over, accidentally bumping into a woman
Marinette fell to the floor with thud, as the hard concrete ground made her scrape her knee
Marinette: Owie..
She whimpered & began crying hard
Emilie turned around to look at the young bluenette crying
Emilie: Marinette, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?
She sniffled, but then stopped crying & looked at them
Marinette: Auntie Emilie! Yay, you're here!
She lifted her up & placed her onto her back
Emilie: Oh, that injury looks bad. Come here. I have band aids for you.
Marinette: Do you have ladybug band aids?
Emilie: Yes, I do. Why?
Marinette: That's my favorite animal! They're so cute & pretty & they can fly!
She smiled & placed her down on the bench
Emilie: Yes, I do have ladybug band aids, Marinette.
She opened up her purse, taking out the pack of band aids
She placed it on Marinette's knee & giggled happily
Emilie: Are you okay now?
Marinette: Mhm..
Emilie: By the way, where are your Mommy & Daddy?
Marinette: I accidentally ran away from Mommy because I was so excited to ride the carousel.
Emilie: Oh. You shouldn't have done that, sweetheart. If I wasn't here, who knows what could have happened to you?
Marinette: I know.. I'm sorry..
