Ink was admittedly taken aback but at the same time had to admit that it wouldn't have been long before Dream figured it out anyway. Was he gonna tell him though? No. He was gonna play dumb for now. "With them? You mean the Bad Guys? What reason would I have to be with them?" Ink gave a small laugh, as if he thought the idea was dumb. Dream was glaring a bit, very clearly suspicious about this.

"Where were you then? Surely if you have nothing to hide, then you'll tell me." He crossed one leg over his other and kept looking at him. Ink shook his head. "Dream, you're not my parent, nor partner. You have no real reason as to knowing where I was. Mind. Your. Business." He gave a little smile, slipping off the bed and standing upright. "Now if you'll excuse me, I am hungry!" Blue looked between his friends and only seemed to react when Ink said he was hungry. "Oh right! I'll go make some breakfast for you, Ink!"

Blue hurried out of the room as Ink went to follow, Dream spoke up. "I know you have something going on, Ink. And whether you tell me, or whether I figure it out myself..I will know." Ink turned to look at him, his face completely blank. Not emotionless, just blank and straight faced. "You step one foot into my business, and you'll know consequences, Dream. You don't get to threaten me and simply think that it's a good idea." He let a little hiss, almost like the warning a rattlesnake gives by shaking its tail. Then, he simply left the room.

~Down in the kitchen~

Ink and Blue spent time talking in the kitchen without seeing or hearing from Dream the whole time. Blue was a little surprised but Ink was glad that he most likely took his warning. "Hey..Ink?" His friend looked at him, giving him a curious glance. "Yeah? What's up, Blue?" He climbed up onto the countertop as Blue spoke again. "You know..I don't care, I mean..if you really are with one of the Bad Sanses..or even just friends with them, y'know?" He looked at the paint covered skeleton, who had a look of surprise on his face. Even Blue noticed??

"Blue I-" Ink let out a breath. "Did someone tell you or?" He said it sort of quietly, incase Dream decided to listen in or what not. "No, it's just a little obvious now since I found your window open and you leaving a bit more. Plus uh..you have a bit of goop on your shoulder. I'd wipe that off before Dream notices that it's not paint." Ink looked a bit embarrassed that he didn't even notice that he had some of Nightmare's goop on his shoulder. He flicked it off with a small sigh. "I forgot how sticky his goop is..." He grumbled.

The taller skeleton laughed a bit and gave Ink a pat on the head. He seemed almost amused at his reaction. "It's fine, Ink. I won't say anything."

~After breakfast, when Ink's back in his room~

He was leaning back against the backboard of his bed, scrolling on his phone when he got a text from Nightmare.

N: [ You doing alright? ]

Ink smiled softly at the fact he texted him out of concern.

I: [ I'm fine, Night. Just had breakfast with Blue. Apparently he already knows. ]

N: [ Wait, he knows? About us? ]

I: [ Well..yeah pretty much. I may or may not have noticed that I had some of your goop on my shoulder. ]

Nightmare didn't end up responding for a good 10 minutes, which had Ink a little concerned. As he was going to text him again, he finally answered.

N: [ Ink! That is not a good thing! What if he tells Dream or something? I'm not worried what he'll say to me, but you is a whole different story. ]

I: [ Oh hush, Nightmare. It's fine. I know Blue well enough that he won't say anything to Dream. Trust me, ok? ]

After that, Ink put his phone down, sighing a bit. He understood a little bit of his concern, but he knew for a fact that Blue wouldn't say a word to Dream. Yes, he may figure it out sooner or later, because Dream wasn't dumb by any means, but the longer he didn't know that him and his brother were together, the better. He'd prefer not to have to fight with him about it. That wouldn't be fun..

Ink ignored the fact that Nightmare was probably blowing up his phone with concerned messages and he slipped out of bed, going to sit on his seat in the corner of his room to finish the painting he'd failed to finish from a few days ago. He grabbed his paints and things, getting ready to start painting again when he heard a knock on his door. "Again? Come in." He swiveled on his seat to face the door as it opened. It was just Blue again. "Sorry to bother ya again, Ink." He came in and closed the door behind him. "Not a bother, Blue. I was just gonna start painting again. What's up?"

Blue went and sat on the floor beside Ink, who had turned to face the unfinished canvas again. "Kinda just wanted to talk. We didn't get too much to talk about cause..well, you know." He sighed. Ink gave him a sideways glance as he started figuring out what else to paint. "Anyway...you know I won't say anything to Dream, but you need to be careful." His friend put down his paints and stuff, turning slightly to look at him. "Listen. I know your concerned. Just as Nightmare is. But Dream isn't gonna raise hell over hearing this once he finds out. The only reason I don't want him knowing about me and Nightmare is because I don't want to have to fight him. That much, I know he'll do."

Neither had noticed nor heard the movement on the other side of the door. Dream shook his head a bit and walked back to his room.

"Oh Ink. How wrong you are."
