Chapter 03: Survival

    You were running in the woods for quite a while. You had bruises and cuts all over you. With thorns stuck in your skin. All of this was happening too fast. You knew that one day your parents and family would be gone,  but you didn't expect it to be soon. And especially not having to survive in a world you barely knew.

    Soon enough, your fear is starting to happen. You are getting very, very hungry. You only know about farm food, not the berries in the woods. There are many red and purple berries you find on bushes, but you decide not to eat them because you don't know what they are, and it has a high chance of being poisonous. And now you started getting thirsty. You needed to find a freshwater source soon

    Thanks to the nice smell of water. You were able to find a river. You used to be very picky with a lot of beverages, and you hated water. But at this point, you didn't care. All you wanted was to drink water. You decided to drink extra water just in case you couldn't find another source of water soon.
    You still were very hungry. Not even hungry, you were starving. It's been almost 5 days since you left the little village. You were scared. All you wanted to do was to find a developed town or anywhere with puppets. You just wanted to live a normal life.

    It's been 2 more days, and still no food, but a bunch of water. It was weird how the berries looked so mesmerizing like you were being hypnotized to eat them. But that made you not want to eat them even more. Terrified of dying.
    "Please, let me live at least till I settle down in a town." You prayed. You didn't particularly believe in any God or Gods. You believed in science. You were just hoping that something real would help you live another day. This got you into deep thinking. Who was the person that was killing all of these people in our village?  Did we do something wrong? Did this person know somebody and didn't pay them up? What was happening?
     You were thinking of all the possibilities that could have happened for the longest time.  You didn't even notice that you saw some fruit and nuts right across from you.  After you finally came back to reality,  you finally saw them. Your mouth started to water,  you didn't eat in a week.  You were starving,  and you finally were able to get some food.
    "Thank you,  whoever just gave me this food"
    You took no time to pick the fruit grabbed the nuts,  and ate them right away.  Even though it was a lot of fruit and nuts, it wasn't enough for your stomach. To show how much it was, if you ate regularly, it would be enough for your whole family.
    After that, you were too tired to stay up,  you had to go to sleep. After all of that travel,  it would make sense that you would need some sleep to get some energy.  You found a nice patch of grass and you slept on it.  You hoped that tomorrow,  or at least in the next week,  you'll find a little town to live in.
