Luke was so excited he found out where to head next that he didn't notice where he was going and bumped into a rather beautiful girl with jet black hair and a nice white colored dress with little flowers all over it. The girl took his breath away.
"I'm so sorry for running into you like that," he managed to get out.
She laughed which sounded like bells. "That's okay."
He then noticed the pastry on ground. "Oh my gosh. Did I cause you to drop your pastry?"
"Yes..." she replied a little embarrassed.
"Here let me buy you a new one. I was headed to the cafe anyway."
"Thank you," she replied as they started walking. "I'm Skylar by the way."
     "I'm Luke."
"Nice to meet you Luke," she said as she approached the counter and ordered a chocolate Napolitana. Luke ordered next. He decided on some piononos for himself and a small order of chicken with rice to share with Stitch.
They chose a quite table outside of the cafe looking out at the courtyard as people milled about.

"So what is a guy like yourself doing here in Spain alone?" Skylar asked as she took a bite

"So what is a guy like yourself doing here in Spain alone?" Skylar asked as she took a bite.
"Well I came here doing some research for a project on Christopher Columbus and I'm not alone," he stated as he set his backpack on the floor to let Stitch out. The cat gave a happy meow and waited patiently for Luke to place some chicken and rice for him to eat on the ground, which he did right away.
"Aww you have such a cute cat," Skylar cried as she bent down and gave the orange tabby a rub on the head.
"Thank you. So what are you doing here?" Luke asked noticing she was obviously from Britain just like himself.
"I'm here with my family on holiday. We do this annual trip thing where we take two weeks and pick a couple of countries to visit."
"That sounds like a lot of fun."
"It is." Silence hung in the air for a little longer than it should've. "Why did you choose Columbus for your project?"
Luke thought for a moment on whether to tell her the truth or not. This girl was a stranger, did she deserve to know? He looked in her eyes and saw the kindness behind them. Well here goes nothing. "I've been doing some research and it always seemed odd to me that Columbus sailed to the same place four times and how it took him so long for the journey as well. So I think he may have went somewhere else and faked his other routes."
Skylar wasn't too shocked by this. "That kind of makes sense because why would the same individual looking for gold and a faster route to India keep going to the same place where he found neither. Where do you think he actually went?"
"I think he may have gone to Israel looking for King David's treasure," he waited for her to laugh or say he was crazy. Instead the opposite happened.
"That's so cool. You know it's funny you mention that because this man outside of the museum was talking on the phone to someone and said the first piece that would lead him to Columbus's treasure was in America."
"Was this man blonde with glasses and wearing an expensive looking outfit?" Luke asked urgently.
"Yes. Why, do you know him?"
"No, I just saw him inside the museum hassling one of the ladies that worked there."
"That's terrible," Skylar said with her mouth full of her last piece. She swallowed and gained her composure as if remembering she wasn't with someone she knew. "It's been wonderful getting to know you Luke, but my sister and I are headed off to meet up with our parents."
The duo stood up as a girl who was dressed in all black approached the table. She was identical to Skylar in nearly every way except she had platinum blonde hair. They were twins. "It was nice meeting you as well," he said as she joined her sister's side.
"Hopefully we'll bump into each other again sometime," she added with a giggle.
     "I would like that."
Skylar started to walk off with her sister causing Luke to think to himself. Her information she just relayed to him meant two things. Someone else was after the treasure his grandmother had been searching for and the next clue was in America. He needed to get there fast and see the artifact before the rich guy did.
Luke looked down at his cat who was looking up expectantly at him. "Time to grab your bags Stitch because we are headed to America."
