In the mists of time, when the world was young and the spirits of nature held great power, the land we now call Australia was home to a mystical and ancient people known as The Wik. They were the southern kin of the revered "old ones" from the northern lands of Scotland and Pict lore. These distant relatives shared a deep connection, bound by their mystical abilities and reverence for the natural world.

The Wik possessed a unique gift bestowed upon them by the spirits of the land – the art of wordcraft and storytelling. Their tales had a magical quality, capable of shaping the very fabric of reality. They used the power of words to weave dreams and bring forth visions that could touch the hearts of those who listened, awakening both courage and wisdom.

But as fate would have it, darkness loomed on the horizon. The Wik became the victims of an unfathomable tragedy – the waves of genocide that swept through their land, carried out by those who did not understand or respect the ancient ways. This catastrophic event threatened to erase their legacy from the annals of history.

However, destiny had a different plan in store for the Wik. As they were freed from the physical constraints of human existence, their spirits embarked on an ethereal journey that led them to distant lands across the seas. In the regions of France, they found their long-lost kin from the north – the ancient druids, who had endured their own trials at the hands of treacherous men aligned with Rome.

United in spirit and purpose, the Wik and the northern druids formed an extraordinary alliance. The Wik, masters of wordcraft, inspired the spirits of notable figures like Murat, Robespierre, and the Jacobins, whose hearts burned with the desire for justice and retribution. The ancient druids brought their gifts of fire and thunder, symbolic of their unyielding strength and fierce resolve.

In the crucible of the French Revolution, the combined forces of the Wik and the northern druids emerged as a powerful and transformative influence. Their narratives sparked a fervent passion for change among the oppressed, while the druids' mastery of fire and thunder lent force to their righteous cause.

The French aristocracy and Bourbon Kings, the descendants of those who had betrayed the druids long ago, now faced a reckoning as the fires of revolution blazed across the land. With the might of storytelling and the force of nature combined, the enemies of the ancient people met their downfall, and the Wik's vengeance was fulfilled.

The annals of history may not record the true origins of this union, but the whispers of the land speak of a time when the magical storytellers of the southern lands and the powerful druids of the north converged to reshape the course of human events.

Though the tales have been shrouded in mystery, the legacy of The Wik lives on through the spirit of their storytelling, forever intertwined with the thunderous echoes of the ancient druids' resolve.

The legend also warns that the Wik will again visit the earth, at the fullness of time, and gather unto themselves the remainder of human beings still pure in heart, and set to work yet again, accompanied by an army of storytellers...
