Ugly Or Handsome

"Miss we here" The driver's announcement interrupted Lily's thought.

She looked outside the window, gaping in surprise at the structure of the house. The house is a mixture of classic and modern design. It has a white facade with tall, dark windows framed by black shutters giving it an airy look. The entrance is marked by large double doors and flanked on either side by brick pillars. On each side are two low flowerbeds that add to the overall ambiance of the home.

Trains of maids stood in two neat rows wearing black and white uniforms. Lily looked around feeling somewhat proud, it feels like she was a princess returning to the country.

"Miss Lily" Butler Jon walked towards Lily clasping his hands. "This way please" He led the way as they walked into the house.

Lily opened her mouth wide as she stared at the luxurious furnishing of the home.

Inside, one can find elegant furniture pieces mixed in harmony with contemporary elements for added style points. A grand chandelier hangs from the ceiling above an open-floor living room filled with plush sofas and armchairs upholstered in vibrant hues like yellow or green making everything come alive. There’s also a bar area at one corner amidst marble countertops glowing with muted lights carefully arranged around mirror panels reflecting all colors inside this cosmopolitan space.

Lily sat down on the sofa. A maid came out of the bar with a glass of juice.

"Here you go ma'am" the maid respectfully put down the glass of juice and walked away.

"Miss Lily, your room is ready," Butler Jon said as he smiled at her in a friendly way.

Lily looked at the elderly old man and nodded her head. She stood up and climbed the stairs following Butler Jon as he led the way.

Butler Jon opened the door to a very large room.

The room was like a personal sanctuary. It had dark grey walls with an art deco-inspired black and gold trim, giving off a modern yet cozy vibe. The furniture was minimalistic with pops of bold colors from the pillows and artwork on the wall. In one corner, there rested a desk with various gadgets that lined its surface while several bookshelves filled up another corner. In the center of the room was a well-laid king-size bed.

"If you need anything do let me know"Butler Jon take a bow and left the room.

Lily shrieked happily as she jumped on the bed.

There was a floor-to-ceiling mirror on one side of the room. She looked at her reflection in the mirror.

"Everything is settled boss" The slender man with gold-rimmed glasses walked in. He bows at the man sitting on the chair behind the huge table in the office.

"Thank you, Elvis," A deep voice said. A puff of smoke came out of his mouth immediately after he spoke.

His facial figure could not be seen very well as the office was dark and the light was not turned on. But his silhouette was that of a man with a powerful aura.

"Are you going home tonight?" Elvis asked the man.

"Of course, I have to spend my wedding night together with my wife"

"I'll get the car ready" Elvis took a final bow and walked out of the office.

The man placed the cigarette inside the cigarette tray and stood up. He walked out of the office closing the door with a bang.

Lily lounged in the steaming bath, her skin glowing and dewy. The fragrant steam caressed her body like a warm embrace as she reclined back into the foam bubbles of the water. Her thick dark hair was tied away from her face, allowing her elegant features to shine even more brightly through this newfound freedom. Soft candlelight danced across her curved form, seemingly adoring every perfect shape that presented itself before its eyes. And yet it was nothing compared to how beautifully captivating she truly was; A precious gem hidden underneath all those glistening beads of water upon which rested an ethereal beauty only promised by dreams.

She closed her eyes letting herself sink further into the shallow water. She thought about all that had happened to get her here.

After some hours in the bathtub, she emerged from the steamy water that had turned cold. She was a vision of beauty as she slowly emerged from the steamy bath. Her porcelain skin glowed in the warm light, her jet-black hair cascading down her back like a waterfall as she removed the elastic band she used to tie her hair. Aromas of lavender and chamomile surrounded her, giving off an aura of relaxation and serenity with every breath. She stepped out into the cool air, feeling refreshed and revitalized after this momentary escape from reality.

She slowly ties the white towel around her well-endowed chest. She opened her luggage and took her almost worn-out night dress. She put it on laying peacefully on the large bed.

The bed felt so warm and so big, unlike the student bed she had in her tiny room. The life of the rich is so satisfying and fulfilling. She had the most delicious dinner that is enough to feed thirty people. She first thought that maybe a wedding banquet will take place but to her utmost surprise, she was the only one available for the supposed banquet.

Butler Jon had told her that he didn't know her preference so he had asked the kitchen to prepare all sorts of dishes.

Lily became so full from eating different meals that she couldn't move.

'I wonder how my supposed husband looks? Is he handsome or ugly, old or young?

She drifted off to sleep with the thought of how her husband might look

The door opens gently as a tall silhouette walked in. He had his hands in his pocket as he walked slowly toward the angel sleeping on the bed.

The moon cast a faint light around him revealing his facial features that make time to stop slowly and make people stand in awe of him.
