Who is this mysterious lady?

The president squinted his eyes, a dark line appearing on his forehead.

"Is this president going to fire Elvis?" An elderly man whispers to the Lady beside him.

"Of course, don't you remember he fired Director Jo just because he sneeze while the president was addressing us?" Someone replied.

"That's true, ai!! I pity Elvis." Another said.

"Serves him right" A lady gloated.

"President, Miss Lily." Immediately the president heard Lily's name, his dark face brighten up, and he sat up on the chair.

"Go ahead," The president said. His lips were curved upward.

The workers almost fell off their Chairs.

'Did the daredevil just....smile.....?'

They need to touch her feet for her to give them just a tiny bit of her magical dust.

"Who is she, is she his wife, sister, girlfriend, friend, co-worker..?" The workers chattered quietly afraid of invoking the CEO's anger.

"Meeting adjourned" The president quickly stood up from his chair and walked out of the conference hall in large stride.

All the workers looked at the president in shock.

"What's going on?" The president is acting strange.

"Or is it Love in the Moon?" Another teased while the rest burst out laughing.

"Director Ann" A fat lady went to meet a lady that had been quiet holding her pen in her fist.

The lady looks to be in her early twenties. She had her hair packed in a ponytail revealing her perfectly sculptured face. She is dressed professionally and carried herself with elegance and grace.

"Oh, do you need any help?" Ann asked.

"Oh...no... I just wanted to ask, who is this Miss Lily?" The fat lady said resting her body on the table. Her whole body smelt of gossip

"And why should I know her?" Anger showing on her face.

"You are close to the president and also his family friend"

"Why don't you take your fat useless body and run after your president to ask him" Ann stood up from the chair and walked away.

The fat lady looked at her and said "Look like someone has just been dumped"

Ann paused she looked at the fat lady, bit hard on her lips, and walked away with her assistant in toll.

Inside the president's office.

"What did she say?" The president asked immediately after Elvis came inside his office.

"She was asking about the agreement and also accusing me of letting her get married to a ghost," Elvis said.

"Am..I..a ghost?" The president pointed a finger at himself. Anne(Lily) just called him a ghost. "Tell her to get ready we are going for a banquet tonight."

'Even if she will recognize me, I am ready to take the risk and explain everything to her.'

"But you already chose a female partner," Elvis said.

"Tell her not to bother" the president appeared angry.

"Yes my lord" Elvis bowed and left.

Director Ann's office.

Ann walked inside her office and angrily sat down on the chair.

"Director Ann, don't be angry, Miss Lily might be just a business partner," the assistant said trying to pacify her. "Besides, you are the one to accompany the president to the Banquet tonight"

Ann eased up a bit when she heard what her assistant said, "Oh flora, what would I have done without you" Ann held Flora's hands. "That's been said, we need to go to the mall to pick up a nice gown"

"I will get the car ready," Flora said.

"I will always be the chosen one" Ann smiled.

"Why do I have to go to a banquet all of a sudden?" Lily asked

"It is one of your duties as a wife of the president to attend banquets," Elvis said as drive the car. He had been ordered by the president to get Lily ready for the banquet.

Lily looked at Elvis who was still focused on driving. " Am I married to a ghost?"

"Is my husband handsome or ugly?"

"..."

'can someone please tell this wind mouth that there is a listening device in this car connected to the president's office?

"Or is he a Picasso painting, so unique that he can't be appreciated?"

Elvis choked on his saliva and was thrown into a coughing fit. He coughed so hard that his face became red. He had to press the brake and stop the car.

"Are you okay?" Lily gently rubbed his back.

"I am fine" Elvis opened a bottle of water and drank it all in one gulp.

His hands were shaky; his back was wet with sweat as he imagine the president's face when he hears what his wind mouth of a wife said.

"Where are we going?" Lilly asked

"To the beauty salon"

Lily put on her earpiece and connected it to her heavy grandfather's phone. She use her hands to support her cheek as she looked out of the window.

Elvis looked at her ancient phone and was like, "...."

Flora walked towards Ann shaking like a hen that has suffered from a rain storm.

"Di..rec..tor... Ann" Flora whisper.

Ann hummed happily as she picked out tons of beautiful gowns. The mall attendants were smiling happily, complimenting her good sense of fashion.

"Director Ann I need to tell you something"

"Go on, "Ann said, she picked up a black strapless gown. " I want one of these"

"Director Ann, I can't say it here" Flora lowered her head.

Ann looks at her and frowns her face. " Say it here or forget about it"

"The president said you should not bother going to the banquet as a female partner with him," Flora said in one breath.

Ann looked at Flora and laughed, "You must be joking right?"

"Am not"

"So the president already had a female partner?"

" Elvis didn't say"

"What do you mean Elvis didn't say?!!! Ann shouted as she threw the clothes on the floor.

"Am sorry Director Ann" Flora bowed. She looked pitiful.

"Why shout at the girl, if she lost something" a lady whisper to her friend. But it sounds loud enough for people to hear.

"Yeah, the girl looked pitiful," her friend said.

Ann panicked when she saw that people were speaking against her. She cherished her image more than anything.

"Ohh Flora, don't blame your self okay" She hugged Flora as she helped her wipe her tears.

"It's okay Director Ann, am fine" She cleaned her tears.

A ruthless glint flashed across her eyes as she tighten her fists, dipping her sharp fingers into her palm.
