Tom was sat on Philza's couch and looked scared out of his mind. A few minutes ago, Techno got a text from someone, Tom didn't know who, and started freaking out. He had Tom grab his light up shoes and ushered him to Phil's house. Tom doesn't know who Phil is, or why he's here instead of Wilbur's house, or where Wilbur is. Phil just sat across from him and looked at him with a weird face.

"So... you're Will's kid?"

Why does everyone keep saying that about him? He's not Wilbur's son. Wilbur was his... uh... Tom didn't actually know what Wilbur was to him. Tom just shook his head and stared at Phil. "Then why has he been keeping you in his house?"

"That's a fucking weird way to put it." Tom mumbled and held the new cow plush Wilbur got him. "He didn't kidnap me if that's what you're thinking old man." In Tom's defence, last time he trusted an adult, they kicked him out onto the streets. It took weeks for Tom to even begin to warm up to Techno. Wilbur was.. a special case.

Phil looked up at the kid, eyebrows raised. Why was this six-year-old cussing at him? He laughed and nodded. "Thought so. Are you gonna answer any of my questions or just keep making fun of my age?"

Tom shrugged, making fun of Phil's age was fun. "Okay well can you tell me your name? Techno didn't have time before he left."

He looked up at Phil and squeezed his plush again, the man smiling warmly at him. "Tom. You're Wilbur's dad?"

Phil nodded and slid a glass of water towards him. "Thirsty?" Tom nodded and gratefully took the glass. He drank half and set it back on a coaster, shifting uncomfortably under Phil's gaze.

"Where's Wilbur? Why'd Techno drop you-" Phil looked down at his phone which had just gone off, and his eyes widened. "Tom gets your shoes on and wait by the door. We need to go somewhere." He stood up and walked out of the room, leaving a confused Tom on the couch.

Tom listened though, strapping the velcro on his light up sketchers. He could hear Phil on the phone in the other room. He didn't want to eavesdrop, but his childish curiosity couldn't help it. "What the hell do mean he was fucking shot?! Is he okay? Dammit Techno! Is Wilbur okay? What am I supposed to tell Tom?"

Tom froze. Wilbur was shot? He dropped his plush in shock and looked at the room Phil was in. "Wilby?" He picked up his cow Henry and ran back to the door, holding back tears. So, they were going to the hospital.

Phil walked back out and saw Tom on the brink of tears. He cursed under his breath and walked over to Tom, knowing the kid heard at least part of the conversation he had with Techno. "Hey mate, I know this is scary but Will's gonna be alright. M'kay? He's gonna be fine."

The kid sniffled and nodded, hugging the plush Wilbur gave him. Wilbur's gonna be fine. He has to be fine.

The pair left the house and Phil just let Tom sit in the front seat. Just this once, he sold the car seat he had for his boys a long time ago, not expecting to have a grandkid. It was a quiet car ride with the occasional sniffle from Tom who was trying to hold back tears.

He just kept repeating the same thing in his head over and over again. "Wilbur is gonna be fine. It's okay, Will's gonna live."

Phil pulled up into the hospital parking lot and Tom hopped out of the car, quickly running to the hospital doors. The automatic doors opened, and Tom spotted Techno rather quickly, sprinting over to the pink-haired man. "Techno! Is he okay? Is Wilbur okay? Where is he?"

Techno looked down at the kid and picked him up with ease. "Calm down Tom, Wilbur's okay. He's in surgery now." He looked past the kid's head and saw his dad rushing in after the kid. "Dad, he's in surgery. Doc said he should be fine."
