I walked around, feeling excited, but so nervous. I never knew that moving to a small town in your 20s would be such an issue, but it is. I only moved here for work, but I want to stay here for my entire life. The town is beautiful, it's name may seem astounding but it's way off from what it's name is. It's sunny, with trees curving in on you when you walk down streets. The orange and yellow leaves fall on you as you walk down the street. That's only in fall of course, but it's still lovely.
It was fall there now, and it was just like how I imagined.I'm glad I get a fresh start, I don't know anybody and I can make new friends, and see new people. I started out here as a writer, just a small one, nothing famous. Just a small writer. I started writing when I was 6, and realizing how good I was, I wanted to make it as a career.
Once all the moving trucks were finished, I could finally get settled in. Once my parents died on a plane crash 2 years ago, I inherited their house. I didn't want to move here for a while because I was so heartbroken, I still am just better.
I walked in, feeling refreshed and new. The leaves on the ground were blowing away, as the wind blew in my silky blonde hair. I was blonde and had blue eyes, which seemed to always make me look stupid in Highschool. Little did they know I got average grades, and became something worthy of myself.
The moving truck guy walked up to me and held out a clipboard with a piece of paper on it.
"Sign your name please"
I did my usual signature, signing "Brooke Edwin" on the paper.
"Thank you" the man said, before walking away.I placed my coat on the coat hanger as I took a slow step inside the house. It reminded me so much of my childhood, and how it reminded me of the good days. I could see my family and I sitting in the dining room eating dinner peacefully. I teared up a bit, taking a look back on all the good memory's.
I was wearing a white slip dress, with heels that matched. I went upstairs and pondered the rooms. The house was perfect sized for me, 2 rooms, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a dining room and a small living room. It was so nice and cozy. I even took a peek at my old room, remembering the good times. I unpacked all my 5 Bags worth of things, and organized my new room. It was my parents bedroom, now mine. I got a new mattress and everything so the furniture wouldn't smell much like them. My room was perfect.I ran downstairs almost skipping because of how much joy I was in, and organized the whole house. I put up pictures and paintings, and filled the house with a sweet aroma from the candles I lit. It was almost evening, and I wanted to get to know some people, so I took a walk around the town.
The trees curved in on my as I walked down the street. I walked past cafes, clothing stores, and grocery stores. I could smell the fresh bread through the buildings, it was amazing. My black leather jacket wrapped around me, as I got a slight chill from the wind. I got Kind looks from everybody, and it felt great. I eventually stopped in a cafe, and purchased a croissant and tea.
I watched as a man came in, he was so handsome. His eyes were a bright crystal blue, and his hair was a dark brown. He looked at me, smirking at my staring. I quickly looked away as soon as possible as I could, but he saw me anyway. I watched as he walked over to my table, I was begging so nervous.
"Hello sweetheart"
"H-Hello" i stuttered.
"I caught you staring, why?"
"I-I'm so sorry, I-I just- um..."
He chuckled at my stuttering, looking me in my dark blue eyes.
"I'm sorry, I just thought you were very handsome.." I managed to get out."Ah I see, well I don't mind, I also think your very beautiful" he smirked. He sat himself down on a chair across from me, staring me in my eyes. I felt butterfly's in my stomach, he was so handsome.
"I didn't get your name?" He said.
"Oh I'm sorry, I'm Brooke, Brooke Edwin."
"Very beautiful name, I'm Jackson Rippner"
"Nice to meet you jack"
"Just Jackson, I don't have any short names, I haven't gone by jack since I was 10"
"O-oh I'm sorry" I chuckled.
"No worries, but may I trouble you for your number?"
"No! Not at all, let me write it down for you."
I watched as he looked at me while grabbing the small notepad out from my purse. He looked at me seductively, making me want him very badly. I finished writing my number and handed it to him. He looked at me in my eyes before softly taking it.
"I suppose we will see each other again?" He said, as he got up from his chair.
"Yes, yes we will".
