Chapter 2

Atticus' POV

    The bell rang and our lecturer finished off his lesson, packed his bag and left.

I hurriedly packed my bag, wanting to meet Way as soon as possible at the cafeteria.

A hand was slammed onto my table, I couldn't help but roll my eyes sighing, not this again.

'Seems like you are alone nerd. Are you going to run off to Amell and ask him to protect you? What a wimp!'

His group of friends laughed alongside him, as if they were watching a funny video.

I dodged him and made my way outside the classroom. As I entered the hallway, a hand was reaching out to pull on the strap of my bag, I clenched my fist about to get my swing in but a loud voice made me freeze in my spot.

I took a deep breath as a faint smell of a sweet sea breeze entered my senses.

'Darius this is the last straw, if I see you disturbing him again,I will file a disciplinary complaint.'

Maverik had entered the chat! His gray eyes were as stormy as the sea, I felt a delectable shiver run down my back watching Darius and his friends apologize to Maverik and walk the other direction.

When his stormy orbs reached mine, his eyes were suddenly tranquil, how peaceful.

'Sorry man, what's your name again? You are that quiet guy who is friends with Amell and Waylen right?'

I nodded my head shifting my weight, 'You are going towards the cafeteria right? Come let's walk together, I finally got to find out what your name is!'

I'm SO gonna to pass out. Why is he so adorable! I told him my name and he filled the silence with his gentle voice, I commented every now and then adding my opinion.

He opened the door for me and I couldn't help but gush internally over his chivalry.

Waylen and Amell's loud bantering entered my ears as they were fighting over their phone models.

Way noticed me first and he gave me a cheesy grin while wiggling his eyebrows.

I immediately knew what was up for me later, I felt a pat on my shoulder as Maverik said he was going to bring over his friends to our table. I nodded and giddily walked to my table sitting beside Way.

'They are joining us?!' Waylen's eyes lit up but dimmed just as quickly.

'HEY GUYS!' Odelle's cheery voice rang as he dragged someone by the arm and sat beside Amell. Maverik sat on the other side of Amell and another guy sat beside me.

'Let's introduce ourselves, I am Odelle and this is my boyfriend, Azul and as you know, that is Mave and the guy who is as tall as an Eiffel Tower is Korren!'

Amell took our silence as his turn to speak, 'I'm Amell but you can call me Mell, the guy in front of me is Atticus and the one beside him is Waylen, Nice to meet you guys.'

Way and Mell started their banter once again as the rest of them joined in the conversation.

The guy beside me was awfully quiet but he kept bouncing his leg.

I huffed and put my hand on his leg effectively stopping his nervous behavior.

His eyes shot at me as another set of eyes watched our interaction. 'Let me guess, Amell?'

This tall guy started blushing like a newly wedded bride and I couldn't help but to chuckle.

'How did you figure it out?' I shook my head with a smile, turned towards Way taking out our packed lunch.
