In seconds, he ran down the path that the Cook had taken, never once getting lost, to his surprise.
The air around him started to change, the moment he walked into Sanji's bedroom, without any hesitation, whatsoever.
The sound of his door being flung open made the blonde man flinch while standing behind his closet door with his pants slipped down to his ankles.
"Get out!"
"Give it back!"
"What!?"
"My sword! I'll cut you open and dissect you like the frog that you are if you don't give me back my katana."
Zoro's answer wasn't even the least bit intimidating for Sanji.
"Take it and go." The Cook replied, panting before he crouched down to the floor.
Having swiped his sword back from the Cook's bedroom, Zoro felt an instant relief.
"Why did you take it in the first place?" He asked the Cook who was covering his face within his knees.
"Go away."
Waving his hand back and forth, Sanji forced the Swordsman to leave his bedroom without looking him in the eye.
"Weirdo."
Growing less interested in the younger man's odd behavior, Zoro made his way towards the exit.
Sanji felt the sound of his heartbeat pounding against his own throat in that moment, despite him not showing how nervous he truly was, his heart couldn't lie.
He kept his fingers crossed, hoping for the Swordsman to leave as soon as possible.
When the man left and closed the door behind him, Sanji's legs slipped down to the ground and nearly melted, from how sweaty they were.
Drops of sweat were also running down his chest and areas of his back that were pressed against the wall he was sat behind.
"If only..."
He thought to himself, hugging his body while the Swordsman's footsteps grew further and further away.
"If only you knew..."
~Meanwhile~
While pacing down the hallway, a puzzled Swordsman scratched the back of his head, trying to shake off the confusion that was plaguing him with curiosity.
The thought of Sanji swinging a sword didn't make sense to Zoro at all.
If anything, he was surprised that the blonde man was able to carry the metal weapon in his hands in the first place.
"I have to know..."
Defeated by his intrusive thoughts, Zoro stopped walking towards the living room and headed back to the long hallway, wanting to figure out how Sanji was able to wield his sword at him, so effortlessly.
The sound of his heavy combat boots stomping against the rustic wooden planks beneath him were rather annoying, but Zoro didn't mind it.
He was determined to get back to the suspicious Cook's bedroom, no matter what it took him to get there.
After approaching the door and standing behind it for a while, the man walked back in, without knocking beforehand.
"Hey, how do you hold it?"
"AAACK!! Hold what!?" Sanji tumbled to his side and fell off of his bed, wrapped up in his own bed sheets.
"Sword. How'd you do it?" The Swordsman's response made the younger man sigh.
"H-h-h-how should I know!? I'm probably stronger than you!"
"I wanna see that. Here," the blonde man dramatically turned his face over at Zoro after the older man handed him one of his swords.
"Lift it up and swing it towards me."
"Leave..."
Sanji stretched his arm outwards, handing Zoro over his katana, feeling an unpleasant vibration run throughout his body when he attempted to stand back up.
"I already told you, GET LOST! You're good at doing that, aren't you!?"
He raged at the Swordsman, swinging a large pillow at his face.
"Why are you in such a bad mood lately?"
Zoro asked, grabbing the pillow with his hand, tossing it onto the bed before squatting down to Sanji's side.
As he got a closer view of the younger, he could tell that he was acting defensive towards him.
From his perspective, he hadn't done anything to deserve this rude treatment from Sanji, so Zoro didn't know how to handle the sudden change in his friend's mood.
"Did something happen? Why are you like this?"
"Like what?"
The touch of Zoro's hand against Sanji's face made the blonde man's face heat up more than ever.
He shook his face away from the gentle hand, despite wanting to sink deeper into it and enjoy the feeling of being caressed.
"Like this! Weird, distant, as if we met today and not two years ago. That way."
"He noticed..."
Sanji thought to himself, trying to escape from the tension he created in between him and his friend.
"Not... Really... I'm just not feeling it today." His answer caused a dissatisfied look to appear on Zoro's face.
"Is there a reason? Is it the heat or something?"
Sanji's body reacted late to the way Zoro had caressed his face before, and the way his soft voice echoed throughout his ears wasn't helping in any way.
"Must be that. Look Zoro, I appreciate your concern for me, but I'm gonna take a shower to cool off, now."
After Sanji finished his sentence, the following silence that lingered throughout his bedroom was deafening.
Both of the men were left speechless when Sanji stood up and accidentally revealed to Zoro that he wasn't wearing any clothing, underneath the bed sheets that were keeping him covered before.
"WAIT!" Sanji subconsciously shouted out, reaching down to grab the sheet that had landed beside Zoro's legs.
"H-hey-"
The Cook struggled to pick the piece of cotton fabric back up after Zoro put his foot over it, preventing him from getting it back.
"Fine, keep it! Damn you!"
Sanji rushed over towards his closet and rummaged through his hangers, trying to find something to wear.
He then yelped loudly when Zoro clenched his fist and pounded it against the closet door, startling him.
"W-what? What is it!? Can you just get out!?" The Chef raged, throwing a shoe at the older man's chest.
In seconds, he was dragged out of the closet and held up against a wall with his arms above his head.
"Z... Zoro?"
The younger man's eyes aimed up at his head, staring at the hands that were holding his arms up.
He could feel his body growing weak under the man's touch, but he didn't want to break free of the grip he had on him.
"Were you gonna take your shower with hot or cold water?"
"Why do you ask? Wanna join me or something?"
Sanji chuckled darkly, giving the Swordsman a hint so obvious, it was impossible to miss.
All that he wished for was for the Swordsman to actually understand the memo.
"I can't hold back with this body of mine, at this rate, I'll end up saying something I really don't want to, to this man..."
