Unexpected Attraction

Chapter 1

"You know, we should stop hanging around school, you block my coolness"

Those were the words of my childhood friend, Jake Sombras, when we were in Middle school. Since he receive a love letter from a human girl in his class he became sooooo narcissistic. For some unknown reason (to me at least) he became Mr. Perfect in all the girls eyes. Except mines, of course.

He simply became Mr. To-Much-Ego in my opinion.

We still talk after school and go at each other's houses, well basically he's the one that visits, but it's not the same. When we were kids popularity wasn't a problem. Nothing else matter but play ridicules games, try to not eat each other up, experiment new innocent things, and the most important thing was him coming to my room every night to make me company because I couldn't sleep alone.

Not since my parents got divorced.

Honestly, he was an adorable child with no control over his thirst of blood, but now, ugh, I can't stand his narcissisms.

And that's what brings me now to today's event.

After Middle school we still didn't talk during school hours. Nor in fresh man year, or sophomore year, and now in Jr year something unexpected happened. We were walking to school like we do everyday. I was listening to Sleeping with sirens when out of no were Jake just pulls my plugs off my ears, "dude what the fuck!" I yell at him and his answer was,
"You know Rin, if you are desperate to get a boyfriend, I don't mind being your cool boyfriend for a while"

What. The. Fuck!!?
