Y/n wakes up as the sun is just rising, warm rays piercing through the cracks in her curtains. She stretches and rolls out of bed before pulling on her work clothes for the day. A loose white tunic tucked into long pants. She grabs her usual tall brown boots and then grabs her long f/c coat. She grabs her vision and adds it to the outfit.
Stepping out of her room, Y/n sees Diluc walking down the stairs ahead of her. "Good morning!" She calls to him.
"Good morning" He says curtly, "Where are you off to so early?" He questions, his eyebrow raised.
"Collecting, didn't I tell you?" She explains as she catches up to him and gives him a quick hug. Diluc shakes his head. Y/n bends down to grab her basket by the door. "Oh, well I'll probably be out all day today, so see you later."
"Alright, be careful." Diluc cautions as she steps outside, closing the door behind her.
I'll start in Wolvendom and then loop around to Starsnatch cliff. She decides as she steps off of the Dawn Winery porch and begins walking northwest. The morning sun is bright behind the girl as she walks, and she reaches out her arms as she feels a gentle breeze blow by. Walking around Mondstadt collecting herbs makes Y/n feel free. The only timeline she's being held to is that of the sun, and no one is telling her where to go or what route to take. She takes a deep breath. This is so amazing.
Coming up on Wolvendom, she begins to trek more carefully and quietly, not wanting to disturb the wolves or the plethora of monsters in the area. She cautiously pulls out her weapon just in case. Having come here many times before, she quickly finds the herbs she was looking for. After collecting both purple and red wolfhooks, she begins to leave. On her way out of the forest, she sees a strange boy and a floating girl talking to the wolf boy, Razor. Not wanting to disturb their conversation, she goes the long way around through the forest.
After leaving Wolvendom, Y/n makes her way to Springvale.
"Hi Miss Y/n!" She hears as a small child runs by.
"Good morning Pepe." She calls to him, laughing. She walks into the village to collect some of the mushrooms known for growing in this area. "Good morning Jotun." She greets the hunter with a smile as she passes the windmill.
"Hello Miss Y/n" He replies. "Back so soon? If I didn't know any better I'd think you were coming to see me." She laughs.
"Well, how do you know that I'm not?" She asks as she grabs a mushroom from the side of the windmill.
"Probably because I know that our little village is the best place to collect those mushrooms you're holding." He answers.
"I suppose that's fair," She jumps down from the windmill. "But seeing you is a definite plus." She smiles at him.
"Aww, you're too kind Ms. Y/n."
"Just Y/n, please. How long have we known each other Jotun?"
"Alright, you're too kind Y/n. Happy?" He's chuckling.
"Very," She replies, satisfied. "And with that... I believe I'm done." She places the last mushroom into her basket. "Thank you for the good company, Mr Jotun." She winks at him. He rolls his eyes.
"You're leaving so soon?" He clears his throat, "Not that it bothers me either way, of course..." She smiles at him.
"It's as you said, I'll be back soon enough." With that, she leaves Springvale
She finally makes her stop in Windrise at noon. Wow, way ahead of schedule. She realizes as she squints up at the giant tree. The Symbol of Mondstadt's Hero towers above her. The branches weaving together in a beautiful painting of leaves. Maybe I'll have enough time to go into the city after Starsnatch. She walks up to the tree, weaving through the mass of roots covering the ground in a maze.
