PULLING OUT ALL THE CARDS

"Money will come and go. We all know that. The most important thing in life will always
be the people in this room.
Right here, right now."
- Dominic Toretto

"HEY DOM THE most amazing brother in the world! Can I go to the race tonight?" I asked.

"No, I already told you." He hissed.

"Dom please! I won't even compete! I just want to watch!" I pleaded.

"No I told you No." He repeated.

"Just let her go Dom were all gonna be there nothing is gonna happen to her." Letty insisted.

"I already said no!" He shouted.

I rolled my eyes, "Your acting like dad." I muttered.

"What? You want to compare me to that peice of shit? Don't forget I'm the one who saved you from that shit hole!" He yelled slamming the counter.

"Dom calm down! She's just a kid." Letty butted in.

"She's 19, She's an adult! She wants to talk like one, she can get the hell out of my house then and live on her own." He boiled.

"Fuck you!" I yelled as I stormed upstairs.

Letty and Dom continued to argue downstairs as I had tears settling in my eyes. Dom was right, I was an adult but I couldn't be on my own. I would go insane, my depression would crash again, my anxiety would rise and everything would just go to shit.

Letty entered my room sitting across from me on the bed.

"He didn't mean it... He's just protective of you." She patted my leg.

"It's okay you don't have to defend me against him. He's right." I sighed.

"No he's not! Your an amaizng kid ryder." She smiled.

I looked at her in silence.

"Tell you what? We're going to that show tonight and I'll help you sneak out. If you get caught I'll take full responsibility for it." She smiled.

I gave her a slight nod before she gave me a smile.

Letty kept her promise and managed to sneak me out the Window. I managed to quietly grab Dom's Dodge charger. He was going to kill me, but the plan was too far deep to stop now.

I followed Letty down the road and people were placing 'road closed' signs to close off both ends of the roads. When Letty and I parked our cars I was in shock at all the rare and pretty cars that were here.
