Backstory: When Natasha was 8 months pregnant with Vladimir, her car was hit by lightning on the way to a doctor appointment. She was rushed to the hospital after a pedestrian called an ambulance. Everyone thought that her and Vladimir wouldn't make it, but both of them pulled through. They were even more surprised with Vladimir surviving due to him still being in his mother's womb. The only side effect to the accident was that their hair was white instead of the original brown.
When Vladimir was 4, his father, Igor Volkov, divorced his mother Natasha Romanov to be with another woman. He would also move back to Russia with the woman. When Igor told Natasha that he wanted to take Vladimir with him, she took him to court to fight for full custody of Vladimir. When Vladimir heard about this, he waited until the day before to act. When Igor went out with his woman and his mom was busy at the café, he bruised his back to the point that the bruise would be very noticeable. No one knew Vladimir's plan to make sure he stays with his mom. On the day of the trial, his parents were arguing in the courtroom, so he took the opportunity to do his plan. He broke into loud sobs and tears. His mom tried to comfort him, but he started yelling that his father hit him on the back and threatened that if he didn't win the trial he would do worst and hurt his mom too. Igor tried to deny it, but Vladimir took off his shirt off and showed everyone his back. Natasha won full custody of Vladimir thanks to what he did. Igor confronted them and Vladimir said he would do anything for his mom. Igor never contacted them again after that day.
