A New Beginning

Chapter 14: Surprise

Jaddu's POV:-

The next two days were difficult to say the least. Despite the fact that I wanted to go and play, the pain in my knee would not allow me to. That was to say if Akku even let me.

I had been out to the doctor's for X-Rays to show that there was nothing major wrong with me. I was relieved and I just had to be fit within a week to play the upcoming Australia series which starts in three weeks.

But apart from the hospital I had been holed up in my hotel room and Akku had been staying with me the whole time. As happy as I was to have her by my side, it still troubled me that Akku couldn't go out either because of me.

I could walk now, though with a slight limp, but I was grateful. I absolutely despised being dependent on anyone else for all my basic needs. I got up off my bed to gather up my clothes as I went to take a long bubble bath. I closed the bathroom door behind me and got into the tub. It instantly relaxed me and I might have drifted off to sleep before Akku lightly knocked on the door to ask if I was alright.

I stopped daydreaming and got out of the bath quickly. When I stepped out of the door I saw that Virat, Elize, Raina and Rohit were sitting there stuffed into my room along with Akku.

I stopped in my tracks and looked over at all of them one by one.

They were facing away from me and trying to connect a playstation to the television. They probably knew that I had walked in but nobody acknowledged me. I turned to Akku with a questioning look on my face hoping she will tell me what's going on but she just shrugged.

Before I could utter another word, Shikhar Rahane and Bhuvi walked in carrying huge ass polybags in their arms which had stuff almost overflowing.

They kept them down on the floor off to the side and got out loads of cold drinks, packets of chips, dips, canned food and other junk that we weren't supposed to eat.

"Party time!" Raina screamed as he inserted a Fifa15 disk into the playstation and opened a packet of lays for himself. He got settled on the floor and started hogging down the chips as he started playing.

I was still a little confused but I was guessing that maybe they were just hanging out at my room today so that I don't feel left out. I decided to go with the flow and anyways my knee had started hurting a little from standing for so long so I walked up behind him and sat down on the bed.

Pulling up a packet of chips for myself I made myself comfortable as I picked up the other controller to play with Raina.

Someone played music loud enough for us to hear but not enough for the other occupants of the hotel to complain.

Soon the whole team was crammed into my room and for the first time in three days I was just having fun and relaxing with my team.

They had come to meet me many times before separately but today we all were here and no one even mentioned my leg once. So, I enjoyed this get-together of ours as we just had fun.

"So, will you finally come out with whatever that is going on between you both or will you take your sweet time, blush and be shy, then deny, then finally accept your feelings?" Shikhar asked pointing at me and Akku. He was never shy, usually blurting out anything on his mind. I blushed while Akku just smiled back at him.

I looked over at Akku questioningly and she nodded. I turned over to the guys and shut the music blaring from beside me before I cleared my throat. I told them everything about the both of us and soon a heavy silence feel down at us with everyone sobering up.

Elize walked up to Akku and engulfed her in a hug, making me and everyone else join in with the both of them.

"We are always with you no matter what guys." Virat murmered still hugging us, speaking for the all of us.
