MOST OF THE LETTERS MAKE A BIG SKIP (e.g: letter 21 straight to letter 36). THIS IS BECAUSE RIN WROTE 277 LETTERS BUT HELLA NO WAY IM GONNA WRITE THAT MUCH.

so basically, ever since sae had left japan, rin found some new friends:

•isagi yoichi
•meguru bachira

time passes and highschool comes along. rin asked hann (rawr) to help him with asking out her friend, the reader. hann had liked rin for quite a long time so she thought he was going to ask her out and she thought that rin was stupid because of it.

in the end, she felt stupid. she thought he liked her but he never did (he's in stage one daniel). he did soon ask out the reader and the reader also loved him so she said yes.

rin never knew that his friend hann liked him so he grew distant towards her because he thought that she was just focusing on school. the reader went to hann and asked why she's so distant now and found out that she felt stupid for helping rin ask the reader out even after she knew that she loved rin herself but the reader still loved rin and didnt want to let him go.

rin then found out that hann liked him by eavesdropping on their conversation but he was convinced he didnt like her back but he liked her as a friend. she wouldn't reply to his letters because she needed space from her life.

hann didn't hate rin, she still loved him but she didnt know how to talk to him again. rin never gave up and kept sending letters to his friend hann but he never knew why he kept sending letters until he had the sudden urge to want to kiss her. he doesnt know why but he did so anyway. in letter 39 & 62, he very desperately wanted to know why he wanted to kiss her.

he then asked himself if he loves her because of it (letter 62) but thinks nothing of it in the end because he still cares for the reader so once she begs him to lie to her and tell her that she was the one he loved but he still doesnt want to acknowledge his feelings for her and calls her stupid because he says he never loved her (letter 63)

(i skipped some letters bc aint no way i was gonna write over 277 letters so that's why some of the letters don't go by +1).

rin then started growing distant towards the reader and it hurt the reader really bad. she loved rin but he ended up loosing feelings for her.

rin wasn't sure of it but it was his guess that he had feelings for hann so he kept sending her letters until it became a hobby of his; one he liked and found out that he did love her (letter 78). this was his calling to take her back. so ironic.

rin didn't want to keep hurting himself and the reader so he broke up with her, knowing himself that it's better if she finds someone else to love than him. the reader felt the need to tell her friend abt it (letter 💌1). she was devastated and she was breaking down crying at the bustop but dont worry, someone was there to give her a handkerchief. someone who is now very special to her ♡.

AN: i might make a separate book abt this（╹◡╹）

around 2 years have passed since the start of this mess and those 2 years helped hann and rin work things out and they did become friends again and hung out way more often, mostly in each other's houses just being bored or on rare occasion going outside. sure rin still sent letters but hann never replied (or so he thought).

time came and it's now their shared bday (yes my real bday is acc september 9 like rin's). he wanted to say sorry even though it would hurt him, he just knew he had to say it either way. he wrote her a letter and got her a gift (the gift can be left to ur imagination bc im rlly bad at gift ideas (◞‸◟) )

hann knew she couldn't keep running away from him because he never gave up, so she decided to stop chickening out and faced him because she couldn't deny that she still cares for him too. this is why she would secretly take all his letters and reply to them all until she was finally ready to love him again. in the end, she gives him all his letters with a response below the writing.

she couldn't lie to herself and say that she doesn't love him (hann is a very bad liar) hence why she asked to be in a relationship. rin couldn't control himself and kissed her. this was his way of saying 'yes' :].

in the end, he finally got the answer to his questions in letter 39 & 62 and they went to their respective homes, screamed in a pillow for 44 minutes and 26 seconds, finished a carton of icecream, had a concert in the shower and finally went to bed after screaming into their pillows one last time as a new couple.

oh and before anyone asks, yes, the reader and hann are still very good friends as of the current future and gossip to eachother DAILY.
