A little snippet of what's coming -

As I lay in my empty bed, I wish my wife was here. I wish she didn't have a professional commitment. But she does. And I am so proud of her for the amazing artist that she is.

Anyway, I try to shut my eyes as I feel myself sinking into the bed and as I am on the verge of falling asleep, I hear a creak. I freeze immediately. Being a paranoid person, I always jump at the little creaks and the faint noises. However, I know people tend to hear things as they are about to fall asleep so, I ignore it. Telling myself that the creak wasn't real. I didn't want it to be.

I decided to fall asleep and owing to the tedious day at work, it worked. The moment I was about to lose myself to sleep I could hear the faint footsteps approaching. Getting near. I jolted awake as panic set in. My blood ran cold as my pupils constricted to adjust seeing in the light. I wanted to sprint and lock my door. My door was shut but it wasn't locked. One try, and it would let the intruder in.

Author's note -

Hey folks, I know this ain't much but I couldn't write too much without giving the plot away. So, you and I both will have to do with it.

I've been watching the ghoul boys now maybe for an year? And they're amazing. In fact, I was watching one of their debriefs today and chuckling wondering how they haven't killed each other yet. Instead, they bounce off of each other so well that it makes your heart warm and your stomach hurt, from all that banter and arguments.

Anyway, ever since I've known one of Shane's worst fear I've wanted to write on it, just for the fun of it and I honestly did want to submit my work to 'Are You Scared'.

Anyway, that thought is on a hold since I need y'all to tell me what you think about the story once it's released of course.

So stay tuned to see how the story unfolds.
