Their newfound opponent was now making its way to the unconscious greenette. Kasuramaru was hissing frantically at the blonde to do something. Anything!!
With only seconds to spare, Zenitsu finally found the courage to draw his swords and ran to his target. But the second the creature caught sight of him, it growled and he froze. Seconds later, the boy fell unconscious. He was asleep!!
If someone claimed it was impossible for a snake to deadpan, Kasuramaru proved them wrong. She stared at the sleeping blonde with a dead stare. The serpent was just about to attempt to take matters into her own hands when suddenly the blonde stood up again. Thinking he was awake again, the snake was about to lash out at him but then she realized he was still very much deep in sleep.
But it didn't seem like it. For even though Zenitsu was asleep, he still drew his sword and took a stance, as if he was ready to attack. The demon, feeling intimidated by his action, decided to strike first. He lashed out at the blonde but he was quick to dodge. Then, moving faster than the speed of light, Zenitsu fired his single attack:
Thunder Breathing, First Form:
⁘•⁕🖤Thunder Clap and Flash!!🖤⁕•⁘
In one single clean slice, the demon's head rolled at the blonde's feet. After the creature had fully disintegrated, Zenitsu regained consciousness. Looking around and seeing no threats in sigh, he rejoiced. "It's gone? IT'S GONE!!
"Are you the one who killed it Kasu-chan? You're so amazing!! You saved both me and Iguro-san!! Thank you sooo much!!!" the blonde wailed. Kasuramaru deadpanned again. It seems this boy is more interesting than I first though. I hope Kitai knows what she's getting into. The serpent then hissed to get his attention and then gestured to her master who was still limp against a tree.
"Oh, right. I need to get Iguro-san to safety." With that, he went over to the greenette and carefully picked her up. Carrying her bridal style, he took the two of them the rest of the way down the mountain and into the daylight and their salvation.

~Kitai's P.O.V~
"Congratulations on passing the Final Selection."
I awoke to the same pair of voices I heard before I started my journey down the mountain. The twins who welcomed us as the beginning! They were.... congratulating me? On..... Passing!?
I opened my eyes with little difficulty and found myself staring up at a pair of Yellow-orange eyes, looking back, relieved, at me. "Iguro-san," the person spoke. "You're awake. I'm glad."
Zenitsu. It took me a moment to realize where I was. At the foot of the mountain. In his arms. Kasuramaru was wound around his neck. Kitai! Thank goodness you're okay! You startled me quite a bit. Zenitsu too. She exclaimed but to anyone else she would just be hissing. I tried to smile. "Sorry, for worrying you, Kasu-chan. Sorry, Zenitsu."
He gently set me down. I couldn't stand on my own yet so he steadied me. I could barely remember fighting any demons, let alone getting all the way down the mountain! I took in my surroundings. From the 30 of us, only about 7 of us actually passed. Among them were Kanao, Genya and the maroon haired boy from before, including Zenitsu of coarse.
"We... passed," I mumbled.
"Iguro, do you remember anything that happened before you passed out?" Zenitsu asked me, worry still etched in his gaze.
"Before I.... passed out?" tried to recall. I was fighting demons. Kasu-chan helped me. We heard someone scream. It was Zenitsu. I tried to fight the demon going after him. I killed it. I cut off it's head. But then...... Blood. Its blood splattered all over me..... Blood.
