As he won the superhero votes. He is going to interview Reader and maybe have a date with her. After that, it will most likely be a gala where many billionaires are going. Lex Luthor, Slade Wilson (based on the Arrorow live action tv show I take multiple lore bits from all over the DCU), Reverse Flash (The CW Show The Flash), Male Catman (as his billionaire side), Ra's al ghul. The gala is going to be interrupted by Joker and Harl. Poison Oak was the only one I could not fit in, he will get the chapter after the gala chapters and the Joker and Harl crashing the party! (Clark's POV)
I made it to Wayne Manor. It is surrounded by paparazzi. I was let in, though it was difficult with how the other "reporters" tried to shove in with me. I walk up to Wayne Manor's front doors, knocking on the door. Alfred answers, nodding to me.
"Master Kent," Alfred greets me, leading me in and heading to the parlor. "Is there anything I can get you to drink?"
"No, I am good," I tell him. "Thank you, Alfred. How is (Name) handling this."
"(Name) is taking it all in stride. Of course, she has increased security here at her home, so no one from Arkham gets any ideas." Alfred explains to me. "(Name)? Master Kent is here."
"Thank you, Alfred." She says, looking up from her book. "Clark, it has been a long time. Do not mind me. I am just reading and having a glass of wine."
My face goes red, and I see a book with a scally man on the cover. He is shirtless, and his erection is there as well. She puts a bookmark in, closing the book, taking another sip of her wine.
"So are you ready, Clark?" (Name) asks me.
I nod my head and sit across from her. "(Name), how are you handling this?" I ask him.
"It is not ideal." She says, pushing her hair back. "I much rather no one knows my identity, but it could not be helped. I had no other option. My oath is to protect innocent lives."
I nod my head. "What made you want to become the Batman."
"It started when I was young. I lost my parents, as most in Gotham know. What they did not know, once a month after my parents died, I did not want to be weak anymore. It started when Alfred caught me building my pain tolerance. I had hovered my hand above a flame until I could tolerate the pain. Once I burned myself, Alfred found out and was angry. He then signed up to train in martial arts. While training my discipline, I did everything to graduate early, Three years early. I then took three years off to train. I cannot say where I trained, but I did for three years straight. Then came back and started to run my company. Then I continued my training for a decade. Five years ago, I became Batman, Using the money and power I had to make my suit and become a hero. I swore to myself one thing. That I would do everything in my power to protect my city. To give help to those who suffer the most." She tells him. "Though, once I became who I am, I had awoken the worst of Gotham. If I knew that becoming Batman would cause Villains like the Joker, Scarecrow, Two-Face, and more. I would have never become Batman. Unfortunately, what is done, is done. I can never stop being Batman now. Not until I train someone to take my place. The city is always at risk, and I am one of the biggest reasons that has happened. It is my job to do everything I can to protect it."
I stare at her. I see the regret and pain in her eyes. I have never seen how much she worried for her city. Now knowing she is Batman and the regret that she has been Batman. She feels all the Villains here are her fault. That she caused them to be here. She does protect this city to make up for what she has done. I never knew that this is how Batman felt.
"(Name)." I say and take her hand. A tear rolls down her cheek, and she squeezes my hand. I have never seen her like this.
I need to protect her. She needs to be safe. I love her. And I will keep her safe no matter what!
