6. Familiar Ground

As the day for their trip to the human world approached, Kenji found himself feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. He arrived at the school gate, where Moka was waiting for him. Her eyes lit up as she saw him approaching, and she greeted him with an eager smile.

"Kenji! I'm so glad you're here," Moka said, stepping forward and giving him a warm hug.

Kenji returned the hug, feeling a sense of comfort and familiarity in Moka's embrace. As he held her, he couldn't help but sneak a quick sniff of her hair. To his surprise, he thought she smelled amazing, a scent that was uniquely Moka.

Moka pulled back slightly, looking into Kenji's eyes with a playful glint. "You know, Kenji, you always seem to give me such warm hugs. It's like you're hiding something."

Kenji chuckled nervously, feeling a little caught. "I, uh, don't know what you're talking about. I just wanted to return the hug."

Moka laughed, her laughter melodious. "I'm just teasing, Kenji. Your hugs are always the best."

They stood there for a moment, enjoying each other's company. But suddenly, Moka's expression changed, and she looked at Kenji with a hint of hunger in her eyes.

"Kenji, I'm feeling a little hungry. Can I... suck your blood?" Moka asked, her voice soft and pleading.

Kenji hesitated for a moment, but he remembered that Moka needed blood to sustain herself. He trusted her not to take too much, and he nodded in agreement.

"Okay, just be careful," he said.

Moka smiled gratefully and gently leaned in, pressing her fangs against his neck. As she drank his blood, Kenji felt a mix of sensations – a slight tingle and warmth that seemed to spread through his body. It was an odd feeling, but he couldn't deny the strange connection he felt with Moka.

Just as Moka finished, they were interrupted by the arrival of Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, and Miss Nekonome.

"Sorry to interrupt, but it's time to leave for the human world!" Miss Nekonome announced cheerfully.

Moka pulled back, wiping her lips with the back of her hand, and smiled at Kenji. "Thank you for understanding, Kenji. I feel much better now."

Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore exchanged knowing glances, but they didn't say anything. Miss Nekonome, however, seemed oblivious to what had just happened and ushered the group towards the school bus that would take them to the human world.

As they boarded the bus, Kenji found himself feeling grateful for the bonds he had formed with his friends at Yokai Academy. They might be a diverse group with unique abilities, but they were also a family, supporting and caring for each other.

As the bus departed, Kenji looked out the window, ready for whatever adventures awaited them in the human world.

 As the bus arrived in the human world, Kenji couldn't help but jump with excitement. It felt both familiar and nostalgic to be back in the world of humans, even though not much time had passed since he arrived at Yokai Academy.

Kenji turned to Moka, his face beaming with joy. "Isn't this exciting, Moka? I haven't been here in what feels like a long time!"

Moka smiled warmly, sharing in his excitement. "It's going to be a lot of fun, Kenji. I can't wait to see what adventures we'll have here."

As they disembarked from the bus, Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, and Miss Nekonome joined them. The group stood in a bustling city, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of human life. It was both overwhelming and thrilling for Kenji, who hadn't experienced this world in a while.
