As Kenji and Moka stepped through the glowing door, they found themselves in what appeared to be an enormous factory. The room was filled with strange machines and mechanical contraptions, all humming with an otherworldly energy. The air was filled with a faint smell of metal and oil.
"Where are we?" Moka asked, her eyes wide with wonder and confusion.
Kenji looked around, trying to make sense of their surroundings. "I'm not sure, but it looks like some sort of factory or laboratory."
As they explored further, they came across a large window. Curiosity got the better of them, and they peered outside. Their eyes widened in astonishment as they beheld a breathtaking sight.
The landscape beyond the window was covered with a thick blanket of snow. It was snowing heavily, and the snowflakes danced and swirled in the air like a mesmerizing dance. The ground was buried under layers of snow, creating a winter wonderland that stretched as far as the eye could see.
"I've never seen so much snow before," Moka said, her voice filled with awe.
Kenji nodded, captivated by the beauty of the winter scene. "It's incredible. But where are we? This doesn't look like any place I've ever seen in the human or monster world."
As they continued to explore, they found more clues that added to the mystery of their location. Strange symbols adorned the walls, and the machines seemed to be powered by a peculiar energy source.
"This place feels ancient and advanced at the same time," Moka commented, her vampire senses picking up on the unique energy in the air.
Kenji nodded in agreement. "It's like a blend of technology and magic. But who could have built all of this?"
Their questions were left unanswered as they continued to venture deeper into the factory. The corridors seemed endless, and the air grew colder with every step they took.
Suddenly, they heard faint footsteps echoing through the halls. They turned around, ready for anything, and were surprised to see a figure approaching them.
"Who's there?" Kenji called out, his hand instinctively reaching for his rosary.
The figure emerged from the shadows, revealing a tall and imposing man with snow-white hair and an air of authority. He wore a long, flowing coat that seemed to blend seamlessly with the snowy landscape outside.
"Welcome, travelers," the man said, his voice calm and measured.
Kenji and Moka exchanged wary glances, unsure of whether to trust this stranger. "Who are you?" Moka asked, her hand subtly gripping the rosary around her neck.
The man smiled, his eyes holding a hint of amusement. "I am known as Frost, the keeper of this realm."
Frost's introduction only added to the enigma surrounding this place. Kenji decided to be cautious but kept a friendly tone. "I'm Kenji, and this is Moka. We stumbled upon this place accidentally. Can you tell us where we are?"
Frost's smile widened. "You have entered the realm of Avalon, a place that exists between worlds. It is a nexus of ancient magic and advanced technology."
"Avalon?" Moka repeated, the name triggering a sense of familiarity.
"Yes, you may have heard of it in legends and myths," Frost replied. "It is a place that has remained hidden from the human and monster worlds for millennia."
Kenji's mind raced with possibilities. "What is the purpose of this place?"
Frost's gaze seemed to pierce through their very souls. "Avalon is a place of balance and power. It serves as a safeguard against those who seek to upset the harmony between worlds. It is also a place of great knowledge and secrets."
