Content warning for the chapter: Creepy imagery and blood patterns.

I'm back with more creepy Moons! Recently, I decided I wanted to delve a little more into the story of the old Moon in the Nice Eclipse's world, so I used some incomplete artwork that was originally supposed to be for Nem and finished it, then I made an edited version for reasons you'll see soon.

Firstly, here is the old Moon's design. For simplicity, let's just call him Dim, since the sky is dim on nights of the waning crescent, which is apparently also referred to as the old moon since it's the phase right before a new moon! He looks mostly the same as normal Moon, except his eyes are a bit more saturated and darkened, plus the sclera of his right eye is dark red rather than white.

Dim is a bit complicated. On good days, he's the same as our world's old Moon- pretty cool, snarky, loves his brother. However, Dim's feelings about killing and his homicide code are... A lot different than our old Moon's were. Killing didn't cause him much grief. He never admitted it, but he honestly enjoyed killing, the only regrets he has around causing his world's July 16th was how furious and distraught it made Sun, as well as how it strained their relationship. Other than that, he has no regret for what he did. He just cares that it made Sun mad at him...

I've been imagining an AU of my nice Eclipse AU where against all odds, Dim comes back and his AI reforms in Nem's programs, causing a lot of distress and unhappiness in the two brothers. But, trying to play it smart since Dim isn't unreasonable, Nem comes to an agreement and builds Dim a body on the condition that once they're separated, Dim leaves Eclipse alone.

He agrees, and so, he gets a body.

First thing to note: Nem canonically has all of Dim's memories, in both SAMS and my stories for him and Eclipse

First thing to note: Nem canonically has all of Dim's memories, in both SAMS and my stories for him and Eclipse. So, he would know exactly how Dim felt about killing and is rightfully disgusted by it, especially angered because of all the heartache it caused Sun. So, yeah, he put blood patterns in paint on Dim's new body out of spite.

Dim, with the faintest impatience: "Really, little moon? I don't think this was entirely necessary."

Nem: "Don't worry, red has more positive meanings than negative ones." :)

The reason why he's holding up two fingers and saying "round two" should be obvious, but if not, he's referring to round two as his second shot at life. It's kind of like "I'm Still Standing" except you don't want the singer (Dim) to still be standing.

Next up! You'll remember that I wrote that, in his security mode, Nem's face-plate turns completely dark while his irises turn red

Next up! You'll remember that I wrote that, in his security mode, Nem's face-plate turns completely dark while his irises turn red. I finally got around to drawing that, and I'm very happy with the results! POV: you're Dim and you're not honoring the agreement to stay away from Eclipse, say goodbye to your life privileges. :)
