Silly title time, hehe but ye here's the art I mentioned last chapter!! Let's get into it.
I'm gonna start with my sad girlie, which would be the genderbent version of my servant Sun. This isn't the final design, but I figured it was worth sharing. The main reason this isn't the end design is the conflicts with her two skirt styles, the gloves not giving a proper maid vibe, and the body suit not working how I wanted it to. I wanted to give her the thigh windows that female Corrin from Fire Emblem has, but it just looked cluttered. 😥
This is the next and also final iteration of her design- for a while around the time of designing this I had been making use of little bases for clothing designs (like you saw with Solar in a previous chapter.) But the results were a more cohesive, feather-based skirt design that's short in the front and long in back, with sleeves I had tried giving her in the first design, long chains like her male counterpart and stockings with simple shoes.
This version of servant Sun would still be forced into fighting and doing the dirty work for Lord Eclipse, unfortunately, which is part of why I didn't give her an enclosed skirt, for mobility. I struggled with the footwear but I think they work for her duties as both a servant and fighter.
And here's a version without the apron, to show her dress underneath! The reason why I went for feathers is because I liked the idea of Eclipse dubbing her a vulture, insultingly. (Even though I think vultures are actually super cool and lovely.) As much as it sucks, being a girl wouldn't save Sun from Eclipse's cruelty. Um... So I guess it's good that Lord Eclipse isn't sexist?? /j
