Chapter Ten: "K."
A/N: bolden name = pov; is it getting boring lol. I have exciting ideas but I'm afraid I might rush into them so I'm trying to take it slow in a sense (unlike Rosékook lol). If y'all think it's too slow, do let me know so I can alter it. ALSO, for those who don't know/remember, K is the alphabet that represents Potassium.Jungkook
After having a dinner at a Chinese restaurant just a couple streets from the university, Chaeyoung seemed visibly better. Feeling relieved about that, I don't bring Mark up again as we drive down the lane to head back.
"I figure you'd like to talk about yesterday," she finally initiates our much needed and overdue conversation. I clear my throat as the topic comes up.
"Right."
"What do you think?"
"Huh? Oh um.." I stammer. "Good, great. Yeah."
Chaeyoung gives me an amused expression. "I meant how we should take it forward. Not that."
Heat rushes to my cheeks in embarrassment. "Oh right. Right. Sorry."
Chaeyoung ends up laughing and I can't help but laugh at the situation as well. Why did I always say something weird?
"So, what do you think?" She asks again when we calm down.
"I don't really know," I sigh. "I mean, this is so different."
"True," she nods. "It's different but it might be simpler than any type of relationship."
"Can't deny." I chuckle.
"What are your concerns? Maybe we can talk about it and see whether it would still be a good idea or not."
"Well, for starters, I'm an amateur with stuff like these, much less a casual relationship. I've only ever dated one girl in my life and it was a high school relationship which obviously did not last." I explain as she nods intently.
"Okay, what else?"
"I- actually it's not even concerns. I'm just a little nervous and lost." I reveal, a tint embarrassment in my tone. "I don't know how this works."
"Okay, maybe I've a got bit more experience but they're not all good ones either." She reveals. "We can be friends, this can be separate. If we are both chill about it, what can go wrong?"
Her words were simple but it made sense. What could possibly happen if we both stick to the nature of our relationship?
"True..." I trail off.
"Just think about it. You don't have to give me an answer right now. Take your time." She nudges me with an assuring smile. "Oh and no obligations. You don't have to say yes if you don't want to."
"Thanks," I smile.
"Well, we're here so get along now. We still have classes tomorrow." She says and I nod.
"Thanks again, for the drop off." I say upon exiting the car. "Bye."
She waves back before driving out of the estate and I head to the elevator to go back home. I frown when I hear a faint trickle of water when I open the door to my apartment.
"Hyung?" I say carefully.
"Kitchen!" He calls out and I sigh in relief, stepping inside completely because I was planning to run if it was someone who had broken in or something.
I kick of my shoes and head towards the kitchen, dropping my bag on the couch in the process. "What are you doing here?"
"Nice welcome, bro." he raises an eyebrow, bringing the mug of water to his lips after it was filled up from the water purifier.
