Chapter Sixteen: "Fitness freaks."
A/N: bolded name = pov; this took forever I'm so sorry. It's exam season and I had like multiple papers on same days so it was pretty hectic. There's one more week to go but I wanted to update since it's been too long already. sorry😭😭Lisa
Remember the girl I was jealous over because she touched Hoseok? Well, she was currently walking by his side towards the table I was sitting at.
I hated that I was so excited only for his favour to be regarding another girl.
When they reach me, I could no longer feel the excitement from before but I push down my disappointment and confusion and put on a smile anyway. "Hello."
"Hi Lisa," he says good-naturedly as he sits opposite me. "This is Yeri."
I nod at the girl next to him who smiles brightly and extends her hand forward for a handshake. "Hello unnie."
I accept her hand out of politeness. "Hi. I'm Lisa."
"Oh yes, I know. Hoseok oppa told me."
"Oh?" I smile in return because despite the situation, it was nice to know he actually talked to someone about me even if it is probably for whatever favour he was going to ask me today.
"Thank you for agreeing to meet with me today Lisa. I know you're busy."
"Oh no sunbae," I shake my head. "I'm free today. Would you like to order a drink?"
"Oh we're fine. We just had lunch."
"I see," I nod, noting that they ate together. "What did you want to talk to me about then?"
"I came to ask you for a favour as you know," he starts off. "Yeri is my-"
I listen closely.
"-friend's sister."
I let out a breath. I so was hoping it was his sister but at least he didn't introduce her as his girlfriend because I was not ready get my heart broken anytime soon.
"She's in her final year of high school and is planning to get into a university in Seoul." He tells me as the girl nods.
"You're aiming to go to my uni?" I ask her.
She nods. "Yes, I want to apply for an early application there but the open house is not till two months later so I need someone who could show me around a bit."
"None of us know anyone from here but you told me when you brought your friend and it clicked so I wanted to ask if you'd be interested." Hoseok explains further.
When I came here, I had no idea what kind of favour he'd ask but this was something I hadn't expected it all.
I nod slowly. "I see, what category are you looking to enter through. Academics?"
"Oh no, I'm a dancer." She tells me and I'm surprised again.
"A dancer?" I repeat. "So am I. Though I have to warn you, it is a competitive process."
"Don't worry, she's really good." Hoseok speaks for her with a confident smile.
I ignore the light bubble of jealousy rising in me and force a smile at him. "Okay then, I'll tell you when I'm free and you can tell your friend to come over."
"Thank you but how about I'll give her your number and you can communicate directly? Might be easier incase something comes up and y'all need to reschedule or something." He suggests.
"Sure, that could work to." I say even though I wasn't really keen on it. They didn't seem like they were dating but it didn't seem like it was impossible either so it was hard for me to keep my immature feelings away.
