Despite the screaming and lively atmosphere displayed in the club, Cara eventually found herself drifting outside to the curb, her phone pressed firmly to her ear as the phone dialed her mother- the only person she wanted to talk to at the moment. It rang several times, then went straight to voicemail, once again. It was the 3rd time she'd attempted to contact her that night, and still, no answer. Of course, Cara could play it off as the time change, because in all honesty, that's exactly what it was, but Cara refused to believe it was anything other than the fact that her mother was upset with her. This wasn't true, clearly, because Jane had no reason at all to be upset.
Cara sighed, placing her phone beside her as she dragged her knees to her chest. It seemed the streets of Barcelona should be more congested than it was, but as Cara looked around in the chilly summer night, all she spotted was a few stray dogs and a young girl, about her age, surrounded by a few drunken men she had just seen in the bar moments ago.
Cara blinked twice to be sure what she was seeing was truly there, and to her dismay, it was. The males were feeling her up as one held his large hands over her mouth to muffle her screams, their mocking laughter echoing throughout the empty street.
Cara stood up abruptly, not bothering to dust herself off or grab any of her things as she advanced towards the group, fury written clear on her face through her scowl and glowing red skin. She ripped the girl free from one man's grasp, and when he swung an arm to hook her nose, she ducked under it, tugging the girl with her towards the bar. She pulled open the heavy door, pulling her in and as far away from the door and the males who were just coming in, as possible.
Once Cara had caught her breath, she turned to the girl with a kind smile. Almost immediately, the girl burst into hysterical tears, slinging her arms over Cara's shoulders in agony. "Gracias!" She exclaimed through her hyperventilating. Cara grinned, awkwardly patting the girl's back in an attempt to console her crying.
"I-I'm really sorry. I'm getting snot all over your dress," the girl grinned lopsidedly, dabbing at the mucus covering Cara's shoulder with her sleeve. Cara smiled. "Me llamo Leah," the girl spoke, a few tears dripping from her eyes. Cara nodded, chuckling slightly as she wiped the girl's eyes with her thumbs.
"Who's this?" Eloise called, rushing towards them, her fluff of red hair pulsing through the crowd of writhing bodies. "And why is she crying? Is she okay? She doesn't look okay-"
"Ah! Ella es muy loca, si!" Leah exclaimed, pointing to Eloise. Cara giggled, nodding. Eloise raised her eyebrows, placing her hands on her hips.
"What'd she say about me?"
"Ella no habla espanol?" Cara nodded. Leah grinned evilly, looking Eloise up and down for a moment. "Ella es puta?" A high cackle rose from behind her, Niall holding his stomach as his lips bubbled with contageous laughter, echoing throughout the large building.
"What? What did she say?" Eloise asked, her eyes frantic, her posture slumping a bit. Leah frowned at this, slinging an arm over Eloise's shoulder.
"I think we could make good freinds, honey. Really good friends."

"So where do you live, Leah?" Niall questioned, coming to a stop at a red light. Leah frowned at him, glad it was only him and her in the car; no one else. She didn't want any of the girls to know about her sister, nor did the boys. They should be greatful she hadn't said anything, because she was angry. None of what they did was okay; they couldn't ever be trusted again. She'd given into their act too many times before to ever fall back in again; she was done.
"Really Niall?" She questioned, raising her eyebrows at the blonde lad. Niall shrugged, revving the engine a bit before taking off, speeding down the vacant road.
"It's been a while." He replied, running a hand through his blonde hair. Leah rolled her eyes, averting her gave to the window, where lights, trees, and feilds passed in a blur. She loved living on the countryside with her family; it created a sense of warmth; of safety from the outside world.
Some could say nothing about Leah's life had ever doubled as a refuge from the real world. Leah had never felt a sense of ease; she was always on edge, knowing nothing was safe because it was her against the world.
Leah's parent's had died six years after she was born, a horrible car accident killing them instantly. She'd been sent to live with her older, matured sister, Sofia, who had just given birth to a daughter of her own. Leah learned everything; she had to, if their family was going to work.
Everything had gone perfectly fine, too, until Sofia's job packed her up and sent her off to another country. She had to tour with a group of people she didn't know; she had to take care of 5 hormonal teenage guys who didn't care about anybody but themselves. Leah hated them.
It seemed everything had come caving in at that point; like everything they had come so hard to achieve had just dissipated into nothing. Isabelle, Sofia's 10 year old daughter had been diagnosed with a rare disease that targeted her brain, disabling her ability to walk. It was heartbreaking, watching the young girl that had grown to be like a little sister to her, struggle to even stand up, and her mother couldn't even be there to help her; to comfort her.
Bill, Sofia's husband, had worked days and nights to support them while Sofia was gone, leaving Leah alone as a 16 year old girl to take care of a girl only 6 years younger than she. It was like asking a 7 year old to live on their own for the next three years of their life- cruel. And it was all because One-fucking-Direction couldn't take care of themselves; they needed a mother-figure there to help them through the 'harsh' days of their tour. Harsh my ass.
"I'm sorry," Niall said quietly, breaking Leah from her thoughts. Leah scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"If you really were sorry, you'd of let Sofia come home to help. But you didn't, thus proving you're not actually sorry." Leah replied, shrugging. Niall pulled the car over to the side of the road, turning to the brown haired girl with pleading blue eyes.
"I didn't have a choice," He tried to reason.
"Like hell you didn't have a choice! You chose to keep her away from her daughter; from her family for your own personal needs!" She exclaimed angrily. She allowed her shoulders to slump forward, all her weight leaning against her arms. "callate, por favor,"
"Le-"
"Just go. Can we just please go? I just want to go home." Leah pleaded, refusing to look at him. He nodded, silently starting the car back up and driving off down the vacant dirt road.

Wake Me Up
RandomLife is complicated, I'd say, from experience. What I faced this summer, though, is something far worse than that. Friends were lost; enemies acquired; songs were heard; people were loved; people were lost, and worst of all, I was gone. Forever.
