Korean Air Flight Number 608004 is set to land soon, thank you for choosing Korean Air!

*Intercom sounds off*

Y/N's POV

"Thank God, my back is killing me. These flights are brutal..." You groaned out in pain, the nearly 13 hour flight taking a toll on your body, made obvious by the numerous cracks that could be heard with every stretch you did once you got off the plane.

You spent the last few years in the States for your studies, coming back home to Korea for college. While you could've stayed in the States for your course, you decided against it because you felt that it would be easier to deal with the stresses of college life in an environment that you were familiar and comfortable with, not to mention the fact that you'd be closer to your sister.

Walking down the escalator, with your carry-on baggage in tow, you take in the scenery that is Incheon International Airport, you're back home after 5 years of being away, it just hits you now how much you've missed home. While California was fun and all that, nothing quite beats the feeling of home. After taking your remaining luggage from the carousell, you began walking towards the front of the airport, searching for a cheap place to eat in.

–One Lunch meal later–

While that meal was delicious and filling, you've now realised that you have a major problem. You don't have any more cash nor do you have any kind of transportation prepared for your arrival.

"That's lovely..." You said after putting your empty wallet back into your pocket, releasing an annoyed groan, maybe you should've applied for a debit card at the bank before leaving. You start rummaging through your bag, hoping you had enough foresight to have left some emergency money in it, and it seems as if luck was on your side today.

"Gotcha! Good job, self." You praised yourself despite nearling having to walk yourself home in the burning Korean heat, then again, a win is a win.

Armed with your newly found wealth, you headed towards a nearby money changer and rushed to the taxi bay, immediately getting a taxi within a few minutes of waiting. Finally, just a few minutes away from rest and relaxation, taking a gap year before college was proving to be a good decision and this just further solidifies that decision.

The taxi driver was friendly, engaging you in small talk about your trip and your plans for the coming months. He recommended some local hotspots and attractions, reminding you of all the things you loved about your home country. You couldn't wait to explore and rediscover the places you used to frequent as a child.

As the taxi sped along the familiar roads of your hometown, memories flooded your mind. The first time you ever rode a bike, the first time you fell on the sidewalk and broke a nose, your first spelling bee win, the old games you played with your old friends. It felt like yesterday when you left for the States, and now you were back after five long years. The Seoul cityscape passed by, and you noticed how some things had changed while others remained the same. But even after all the change, this is home, and you were happy to be back.
