" Yuna, you have to give up on him." Akari told the girl who was crying into her chest. She knew Yuna really liked her brother, but she wasn't aware of Rio's feelings.

"I-" Yuna breathed out through her tears. "I don't understand why it hurts so much.". "I should be happy for him and his ex. I mean they got back together and just seem so happy."

She knew it was bad for her to like Rio, and she didn't think she had any chance. They had gotten so close lately, running over and hugging each other all the time, and walking home together every time Akari had work. It had started off as a little crush, but it had grown so much. Her love for him was like an overgrown weed, squeezing her body, refusing to let her breath.

"Okay, just breath Yuna, I'm here" Akari tried to calm her. Little did the two girls know, Rio was right outside the door.

'Did someone hurt Yuna?' he thought as he listened in, oblivious to what he had done to her.

Yuna took a deep breath and untangled herself from Akari and stood up, wiping her eyes. "I'm gonna go home now" she sniffed.

"Are you sure you'll be alright?" Her friend asked, obviously concerned.

"I'll be fine" was the response she gave as she walked towards the door, although not true.

Suddenly, they heard a bunch of fumbling outside her room, startling both of them.

Rio had panicked when Yuna walked over and fell into the wall.

She opened the door and was surprised to see Rio on the floor.

"Um, Rio?" he heard as embarrassment coursed through him. He noted how red and puffy her eyes were. He wanted to find the one who did this and make him pay.

"Sorry...um I was just.." he tried to explain himself but couldn't think of anything. Luckily for him, an excuse popped up in his head. "I was coming to ask Akari if she needed anything from the store and fell over. Sorry for scaring you" he told her timidly looking off to the sides. He awkwardly smiled at Yuna, and watched as she sent him a fake smile.

"You...didn't hear anything right?" she asked shyly, looking at the ground as she blushed profusely.

"No, I didn't hear anything, I swear!" he replied, obviously trying not to hint that he had been eavesdropping.

"Oh, okay, that's good.". she felt kind of happy to see him. That was until the thought of him with the woman she thought he had gotten over. "I'm gonna head home now, so I'll see you at school" she bowed to the two before leaving hurriedly, holding back the tears that were threatening to spill from her eyes.
