Yuna couldn't sleep. She didn't understand why her first real crush had to hurt this badly. She felt like her heart was being crushed and thrown around. She was so upset at herself for having such strong feelings.

'I wish I was the one he likes.'
'Am I not enough for him?'
'Maybe I don't deserve to be loved.'
'Will he ever love me back?'
'Who am I kidding?'
'I thought I may have a chance.'
'I'm so stupid.'
'Why would he want to be with someone so unexperienced?'
'Does he hate me?'
'I wish I was prettier.'
'I don't deserve anyone.'
'I hate myself so much'
'I can't be near him. It hurts too much.'
Her eyes hurt from the many times she had wiped them, but the tears just kept flowing out. She couldn't stop it. Yuna felt like her heart was leaking. She wanted to scream, to let it out, but she couldn't. If she screamed she would wake her mum, and she didn't want to tell anyone how she felt. Not even Akari. She had already burdened Akari enough. Yuna then decided, she would avoid Rio at all costs.

-In the morning-

Yuna groaned as her alarm went off. She had only slept for around half an hour. She forced her body out of bed and shut off the alarm. She sleepily threw her pyjamas off and put on her uniform. Grabbing her tie and putting it on as well. Checking herself in the mirror and grabbing her hairbrush. When she deemed herself presentable, she grabbed her previously packed bag and left without eating breakfast.

Yuna went over to Akari's apartment room and knocked on the door. Rio answered it. She immediately looked at the floor, incapable of making eye contact. She couldn't stand to look at him after her realization of her unrequited love.
"Morning Yuna." Rio greeted as he stuffed his face with a piece of toast.
"Good morning" she quietly greeted back. "Um, is Akari ready?"
"AKARI, YUNA'S HERE!" the taller teen called out to his sister.
Akari came rushing over with her bag. "Hey Yuna!"
Only upon hearing her best friend's voice did she look up. She quickly hugged Akari. "Good morning, Akari."
Akari and Rio were both shocked that Yuna was the one to initiate a hug. The two quickly left.

"You okay, Yuna?" Akari asked gently. She hated it when Yuna was upset.
"Yeah, I'm alright" Yuna quietly responded, before deciding to tell Akari what she had been thinking all morning. "Um, Akari.. I wanna try to avoid Rio from now on".
Akari stopped abruptly. "Wait, really?" Akari asked, shock and concern evident in her tone.
"Mhm, I wanna move on." Yuna and Akari continued to walk to school, Akari managing to change the subject.

They finally arrive at school, heading inside to their respective shoe cubbies. They open their cubbies, and change their shoes into slippers, closing their cubbies and deciding they had enough time to stay near the cubbies and chat for a while. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, Yuna notices Rio entering the building, her gaze becoming distant. She teared her eyes away from the boy as Akari began to realize how determined Yuna was about ridding herself of her love for the boy.

"Yuna, try not to let him get to you, okay?" She gave Yuna a concerned, yet supportive look.
Yuna nodded, trying her best to keep focusing on Akari as she suggested they go to class a little bit early. They began to walk when Yuna hears the sound of someone running towards them. It was Rio, her crush- no, actually, her ex-crush.

"Hey, guys. Did something happen?" he asked, clueless to Yuna's efforts to avoid him. "You both seem off."
The girls exchanged eye contact for a split second before Akari answered for the both of them. "Nope, everything's fine but thank you for the concern, Rio.".
Rio narrowed his eyes at the girls, unsure of weather he should believe his younger sister. He decided to just let it go. "Well, if you two need anything then can you just let me know, okay?". His gaze flickered between the girls.
"Okay, we will." Akari answered, waving her older brother off dismissively as she walked into the classroom with Yuna. She pulled out her seat and sat down, taking her bag off and taking out the stuff she needs as Yuna does the same.
