CHAPTER 02

BUT YOU NEVER GO AWAY

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♡︎♡︎♡︎
IT SEEMS GYOKKO didn't have anything to do today since he decided to visit me so randomly. At first I thought my husband had sent him to keep me in check, but it seems they haven't contacted each other for quite some time now based on what he's told me, though he still hears news of Muzan every now and then.

The quadruplets were not with me today since Muzan had tasked them to do something outside of the mansion, I figured it would be something along the lines of being illegal and brutal, which is why I had no idea of it until one of the maids had told me they were out as per Muzan's orders.

While I was walking out in the garden alone, that was when Gyokko approached me, always with respect and keeping his boundaries. It was odd that Muzan had made it a rule, even amongst his closest friends, that no one is allowed to touch me other than him and the servants.

If I didn't know any better then I would've thought that he was just being a little silly possessive man, but knowing how he truly is, it may just be because he thinks of me as his trophy husband.

Like a perfect and pristine porcelain doll on display for everyone to see, and when no one's looking, I become a ragdoll to him.

It's not that he beats me, curses at me, or hates me all the time, though the pain he brings me was more emotionally and mentally damaging, but Muzan treats me so. . . lowly.

He fucks me and still comes home to me but where is the love in his actions? Where am I in his world other than in our bed ready to please him and rid his stress? What am I to him?

Nothing. I hold no weight in his world.

I sigh once again, poking one of the budding flowers in the massive garden Muzan supposedly built for me. The weather was just as gloomy as I was, no bright blue sky or the feeling of sun rays shining down. There was nothing but grey — the sky, the pathway, the mansion, and my life.
