Estelle laid in the dark feeling the cool breeze enter her room from her window. "I don't know if it's a good idea. You know I want to" she said on her new cell phone. "It's an exclusive restaurant, no one but high class people are ever there. Come on, I want to take you out." Cedric's deep rich voice sounded sincerely in Estelle's ears. She hesitated, but she knew she was going to say yes. "So I have to dress up?" she asked. "You look pretty in anything you wear." "You've only seen me one time" she laughed. "How do you know I haven't been stalking you?" he said slyly. "Because if you were you would have tried to kiss me again." "Good point" he chuckled. "I'll see you tomorrow at 7." He said softly. Estelle laid her head back in her pillow in anxiety. She wasn't sure if she was nervous or excited, but what she did know, was that 14 hours seemed like it was two years from that exact moment.
"Hey, sis" Rebecca said as she knocked on Estelle's door and just walked in. Estelle's heart dropped, and her face felt cold. "Wow, where are you going?" she exclaimed. "Hey, sis. I'm going to.. uh.. a-" "It's ok if you're going on a date, Estelle" Rebecca smiled looking up at her. "You used to tell me things, and ask for advice. Now you grew up and you forgot about your big sis." Rebecca joked. "It's not really a date, I just-a guy that used to be in my class got invited to some big ball for his job and he needed a date." Estelle tried to downplay the situation the best she could. "Okay." Rebecca smiled. "You look gorgeous though. And sexy. This guy is going want to take you serious after tonight" she joked. Estelle was wearing a tight black sleeve-less dress with a cut that reveals her flat stomach area, and the skirt going down to knees but with slits on the sides that rose all the way up to the top of her legs, and kept together by a see-through floral lace design. "I wish I had someone to go on a date with" Rebecca said, fixing her little sisters skirt for her. "What about what's his name?" Estelle said trying to sound disinterested. "Cedric. I think we're breaking up" Rebecca said a little bummed. "What? Why?" "He's been distant lately. I think there's somebody else" She said seriously. "What makes you think that?" Estelle asked her sister softly. "I don't know... It's just a feeling. Like he used to call me every night before I went to sleep, but now he's busy at that time. One time I picked up his phone and I saw that he was on the phone with this unsaved number for like 2 hours one night." "You think he's cheating?" Estelle said shakily. "I don't know, I tried putting the number in Facebook but there was no result. I'm thinking of calling it and pretending to be someone taking a survey" Rebecca said with an evil smile. "Wow, how would you feel if you found out he was cheating?" Estelle decided to ask. "I mean, it would hurt. Why not just break up with me? We have barely been together a month! He just doesn't strike me as the player type, you know?" Rebecca asked. "Yeah, I don't know. Maybe you should just let him go." Estelle offered. "I don't know if he's cheating. It's just a feeling. Want to call the number?" Rebecca asked looking at Estelle excitedly. "Nah, I'm not going to be a part of your craziness" Estelle tried to say while forcing a laugh. She was sure that her heart had to be in her stomach. "Come on, sis. I'll feel better doing this with somebody" Rebecca said to her with a desperate look. "Okay." Estelle said barely. The cell phone that Cedric had bought her was under her pillow on vibrate. Estelle walked calmly to her pillow as to not arise any suspicion. She laid awkwardly in order to place her hand under the pillow. Rebecca, who was sitting at the foot of her bed, turned around to face Estelle. She felt a quick vibrate and pressed the volume buttons on the side of the phone in order to silence it. It was completely unnoticed by Rebecca. "Well, they didn't pick up." Rebecca said appearing a little let down. "Maybe it's just family, or a friend." Estelle offered. "Maybe." Estelle sat up, feeling a little at ease. Suddenly the phone under the pillow began to vibrate. Estelle felt all the blood leave her face and her heart beat incredibly fast. She removed the phone from under the pillow and saw that it was Cedric's number calling. "You got a new phone?" Rebecca asked confused. "Yeah, my phone battery dies too quick, so I just got a new one." "Oh, let me see" Rebecca said extending her hand. "Okay, let me just turn off this alarm and set another one." Estelle's hand was shaking. She quickly deleted all her recent calls, turned off the vibrate, and handed her the phone. It was then she remembered that she had some pictures of Cedric he had sent her saved in her photos. "I just got it today, so there's nothing on there." Estelle said. She felt like kicking herself as she realized that a comment like that is very suspicious. "Same number?" Rebecca asked as she looked all around the phone and clicked on some random apps. "Yeah." Estelle answered softly. "It's nice." Rebecca handed her back her phone. Estelle felt like screaming and laughing at the same time as she took back her phone. "Well, I'm going to help Stephanie cook. You behave out there tonight" Rebecca joked. "Bye, sis." Rebecca began to walk out the room then stopped once she got to the door way. "Estelle..." she started, trying to gather her thoughts. "Yeah?" Estelle looked down at her previously secret phone in her hand and saw that Rebecca was calling again. She placed the phone on the bed face down as if she had no further use for it. "Never mind, not important" Rebecca laughed, and continued down the hall. Estelle let out a sigh. She began wondering if this stress was worth a man. She picked up her phone and realized that Cedric had called again, so she called him back. "Hello, beautiful." His voice alone made her feel special.
Estelle pulled up to the restaurant. She gave her keys to the valet and headed inside. "Ms. Paul?" an older man wearing a tuxedo asked. "That's me." Estelle answered. "Follow me, Madame." The man lead her through a beautiful scenic restaurant, almost empty with waterfalls, beautiful paintings, and statues of golden angels all around. "Right this way, Madame." The gentleman opened a door for her of a private room. There she saw Cedric seated at a round table lit by candle light. He stood up and pulled out her chair for her. Estelle sat down and tried her hardest to hide her smile. "Your waitress will be with you shortly to take your orders. Have a good evening" the butler walked out of the room. After a few minutes of staring into each others eyes and smiling, Cedric broke the silence. "I told you that you would look beautiful." Estelle smiled and looked down. When she looked up, she saw Imani; Estelle's friend walk into the room to take their order.
