Figuring It Out

luz wakes up at 6am to start the day. She gets up from the bed and changes into her school clothes and walks to the kitchen to make breakfast for herself and sits down at the table and eats her breakfast and Camila wakes up and walks over to luz
Camila sits down at the table next to luz
Camila sits down next to luz and says "Buenos dias mija"
luz is stuck in her thoughts for a few moments and snaps out of it and says "Buenos dias mama"
Luz continues sitting there quietly and barely eats her food, Camila notices her daughters odd behavior but doesn't say anything until Luz speaks up* "Mama.. I know how dissapointed you were when you found out I left you and I can imagine how unfair and strange it is for you to have to take care of me and my friends after what I did.."
Camila hugs luz and tears up slightly and says "mija there is nothing that you can do that will disappoint me I love you so much" tears go down Camila face and they both hug and cry
Luz feels her herself become happier in her mother's warm hug and reassurance, she always felt a lot better and safer around her mom which also made a bit of guilt spark up inside her for leaving her still but for now she just enjoyed the love and affection from her mom that she so craved. After a few minutes of crying and hugging Camila told Luz to wake up the others so they go do something fun which is what Luz really needed after working hard to get back to demon realm, it seemed her mom always knew what to do and say at the right time. Luz went into her room and started trying to wake up Willow and Amity
as luz walks down the hall to their room she feels this sense of happiness and acceptance from her mom and she opens the door to their room and walks up willow and wakes up amity by kissing her forehead and when amity wakes up she blushes hard and luz chuckles slightly and they all get ready and in 20 minutes luz has to go to school
luz also goes to the basement to go wake up hunter and gus and when luz wakes up hunter he wakes up in a panic and luz has to calm down hunter*
Luz looked at Hunter with a concerned expression and although she was worried she smiled to remind him that it was okay. Hunter's breathing became quicker and quicker as he frantically looked at his arms to which Luz seemed pretty concerning "Hunter what are you doing?" Luz asked and Hunter stopped "I... j-just looking for bruises or cuts.." Luz was even more concerned at this point but still tried to comfort him with a smile "why?.." she asked. "Well back at the castle I had to be very careful when sleeping. Sometimes when I wouldn't lock my door Kikimora would break in and try to hurt me, sometimes she would find ways to enter if she was especially mad at me. One time she was at me for having 3 missions in a row so she tried to break my arm to make sure I couldn't participate in any missions..." Luz's face was no longer smiling as she hugged Hunter tightly "Hunter... you're safe here I promise. We won't let anyone and I mean anyone hurt you anymore.. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, you don't deserve that. But don't worry, everything will be okay. You got us now." Hunter began crying into Luz' shoulder but then tried stopping when he realized he was probably messing up her shirt, she didn't care though and Luz just hugged him tighter and told him it was okay to cry.
Luz continued hugging Hunter until she asked* "Hunter, why did you seem so alarmed when I tried waking you up?.." Hunter froze for a second and let out a sob before responding "I just... back at the castle I had to wake up at 5am or at 4 depending on the mission and sometimes I would be so exhausted that I would wake up late and Belos would wake me up while screaming at me and making sure I regretted sleeping in with things such us guilt tripping me, smacking me, holding onto my shoulder or wrist really hard until it hurt. I think the worse part might have been his verbal abuse though, he got pretty mean with what he said to me and would sometimes make me repeat all the insults he said to me with a 'I am...' at the beginning. And I guess that's why I became really paranoid with sleeping in later than I'm supposed too... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you..."
Luz worriness only grew as Hunter kept talking and the look of sadness and disgust grew aswell. Luz hugged Hunter tighter and said "Hunter.. what Belos did to you was truly horrible and very undeserved and I know it's easier said than done to forget about it especially after the horrible abuse he put you through. I know it's not easy to recover from that and I can't even imagine how it feels to be terrified everyday but I promise you things won't be like that here... you got friends who love you and a new found mother who will never treat you that way that monster did to you... you don't have to live your days in fear or be afraid anymore because we will do everything in our to make it better and protect you."*
luz and hunter had sat their for a while crying and talking. They both went upstairs feeling better or at least hunter. Luz felt this horrible guilt for what had happened to hunter. Everyone sat at the table eating breakfast and talking but luz was silent just lost in her thoughts until amity said "luz we should go buy the new azura books" "luz?" Luz snaps out of it and says "yeah" she doesn't know what amity said. Amity says "luz are you okay?"
Luz looked at Amity for a moment before looking back down "Yeah I'm fine..." Hunter must have felt awkward too because he left quickly with Gus back to the basement, Hunter seemed happy so she couldn't figure out why she felt so sad, whatever Luz felt Amity caught on soon and excused herself and her girlfriend back to her bedroom where they sat down at the bed "soo... you wanna tell what's wrong?..." Amity asked Luz with a concerned look, something Luz has gotten very used to since it seemed Amity has grown very worried for her recently, not that she minded. "Hm?.. Yeah I'm okay." Luz said as she laid her head on her girlfriend's shoulder. "You sure?... you don't seem okay." Amity slid her hands from Luz's shoulder all the way down to her hand which she grabbed and kissed and rubbed as she continued talking "You know you can talk to me..." Luz looked at Amity, a slight blush apparent on her face before she looked down. It seemed Luz was extremely nervous with eye contact but Amity didn't question it and continued rubbing Luz' hand. "I just... I don't know Amity... I feel so useless and hopeless... and stupid for dragging you guys away from yours families. I also feel horrible for you guys. You guys went through so much but still care and comfort me like I've been through worse and I can't understand why. I get you guys are my friends and all but I just don't deserve it... not after everything I did. I appreciate everything you guys have done for me but I can't help feel like a failure for my stupid mistakes... we've been here for two months and I can't figure out how to get you guys back home.. you guys have been through so much and I just want you and the others to be happy again." These words struck Amity by surprise since she wasn't aware that her girlfriend had been going through so much.. and the fact that she still blamed herself broke her heart.
Amity kissed Luz's head and ruffled her hair. Luz kept her head down and looked somewhat embarrassed for revealing all that. "Luz... I love you so much, more than you can ever imagine which is why it pains me that you still think this is your fault... Luz you came into my life and.. as cheesy as it sounds you made it all better. With your goofy smile and upbeat personality, I'm so glad you came into my life and I don't regret a single thing. And I'm sure the others feel the same way, ever since you came into the boiling isles you made our lives infinitly better, I didn't even think I deserved it... Luz I'm so happy that I'm here with you because believe I rather be dead than without you. I love being by your side and Willow, Gus, Hunter, Vee do too... you mean the world to us. And you aren't a failure Luz. We will find a way, you always find a way. Don't give up now sweet potato." she kissed her head and continued "Luz... you've been through stuff and we know it's not easy. We all have something horrible we try to hide but the more we try to hide it the more disastrous the situation can get and its not healthy. You're not helping yourself or anyone by bottling up your feelings that's why I love it when you talk to me and vent to me about your problem because you've been through it and I'm more than happy to comfort and love you because you deserve it. Luz I am so so happy to be with you and I'm so happy you came into my life, we all are."
