Julio's P.O.V.

I sat at the back of the room during my math lecture. My mind was rushing while still thinking about the party and what happened with Ethan. And having to see him every day in the dorms doesn't help at all. The sudden sound of Professor Lackey slamming my test paper on the table in front of me startled me as I looked up in his eyes.

"Great job, Mr. Santos," he said with a grin.

I gave him one back and looked down at my paper once he walked away.

98, I thought to myself. It's a start.

The bell rang and I rushed out of the classroom in the crowd of all the other students. I looked down at my schedule in my hand because I still wasn't able to memorize it yet. I looked up and back down a couple of times so I wouldn't bump into anyone but that changed once I looked down for a second.

"Whoa-"

"Lo siento (I'm sorry)," I spoke too quickly to hear the voice of the other person but once I looked up I couldn't help but bite my bottom lip and grin.

"Bueno oye extraño (Well hey stranger)," Maxx spoke with a chuckle.

"Hey Maxx," I replied to her.

"En español (In Spanish)."

I couldn't help but chuckle. "Hola Maxx (Hey Maxx)."

She clapped her hands as if she were impressed. "Mejor (Better)."

We both shared a laugh as we made our way down the hallway together.

"What class do you have next," she asked looking over my shoulder at the folded piece of paper in my hand.

"The reason I'm here," I replied, looking at her. "Psychology."

"Psychology?" She repeated in surprise. "Really?"

"Yes really," I said with a snicker. "You not convinced."

She threw her hands up in defense. "Yo nunca dije eso (I never said that). It's just that I wouldn't expect you to do psychology at all."

I nodded with slight suspicion. "Interesting and let me guess you're majoring in." I paused to look her up and down. "Fashion."

She placed her hand on her chest feeling threatened by my guess. "Am I that predictable?" She asked with her Spanish accent suddenly coming out.

"A little," I replied, holding my hand up with my thumb and index finger inches from touching.

She punched my arm which caused me to let out a laugh then she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"But are you?" I asked, still wanting to know.

She clicked her tongue and sighed. "Yeah, I am."

I chuckled, feeling glad that I was right. We turned the corner, still talking for a few minutes about the topic of majors before we came to my class.

"Well I'll see you later," I said, turning to face Maxx.

"Yeah," she said with a grin.

I nodded then turned on my heel, heading inside the classroom with the feeling that she was still looking at me. But I was too cocky to turn around as I made my way to my seat beside some guy who looked twice my age.

Once lunch rolled around I sat with Joshua and his friends along with Avery and Jasmine- the two girls from the game of spin the bottle at the party. Maxx, Andi, and I were having our own conversation while Joshua, Logann, Avery, and Jasmine had their own conversation.
