Aether's pov:
"Wake up!!! It's time to say goodbye to our friends from Liyue!!!"
Aether groaned as he woke up, eyes blurry from the fatigue.
"Paimon?"
"Quickkkkk! Wake up!! Hmph.." Paimon's stomach grumbled, and they both laughed.
Aether looked into the mirror and braided his hair, changed his clothes and took his sword, preparing for the journey to Inazuma.
"Whaaaaa?! Paimon sees a ghost!!!!! EEEEEK!! Aether HELP!!"
Aether looked around and saw a ghost that looked like a young girl.
"Maybe that's one of Wangshu Inn's attractions?"
"Can we pleaseeee stay for 1 more night??? Paimon wants to investigate the ghost!!"
"Fine... Honestly, I don't really want to leave Liyue so I guess one more night is fine... "
" YAYYYYY!! Paimon loves aether!!" Paimon looks at Aether and wraps her hands around his head.
"Stop it!! Or do u want to be emergency food??"
"That joke isn't funny anymore!" Paimon huffs but both of them ended up laughing.
They walked back to Wangshu Inn and told Verr Goldet they wanted to stay for 1 more night.
"Ms Goldet?? Paimon wants to know about the ghost wandering near wangshu Inn!"
"Oh, about that, I think you should ask adeptus Xiao about it. After all, it's him who discovered Dusky Ming.. "
"Adeptus Xiao...?" Aether looked at Verr Goldet in wonder.
"He's the last yaksha in Liyue. It would be nice if you talk to him, after all, he's quite lonely..." Her eyes looked a little sad.
"How do we find him?" Aether was quite interested in this person. He never thought there was somebody so important in Liyue that he didn't know.
"He sometimes goes to the balcony here at night... I think you would be able to get his attention if you make some almond tofu for him."
"Almond... Tofu..?" Aether scrunched up his nose as he thought about this dish.
"Ohhhh! Paimon remembers you have this recipe!"
"Off you go then~" Verr Goldet smiled at them.
Aether and Paimon went downstairs and borrowed the stove from the chef.
"I feel like I need to put my heart into this almond tofu.. Adeptus Xiao seems important." Aether grabbed the ingredients and almost used an hour to make the almond tofu.
"Zzzzzzz" Aether chuckles softly when he saw Paimon dozing off, her face laying on the table.
"I guess I better not wake her up then." Aether thought to himself. "Time to find adeptus Xiao!"
Aether hummed a song from his childhood memories with his sister as he walked up the stairs, carefully carrying the almond tofu.
He peeked from the wall behind the balcony, and the sight he saw took away his breath, almost making him drop the dish.
Sitting on the balcony's wooden railing was a young looking guy, the dark hair with teal highlights rustling because of the wind, and-
"Young mortal, why did you want to talk with me?" Xiao turned his head towards Aether, and Aether gasped when he saw the adeptus' face covered with an elegant but at the same time, powerful mask.
The dark green color of the mask really compliments Xiao's figure! And the gold decorations of the mask...!
Faint wisps of teal whipped around Xiao's face, and Aether was stunned. "H-how can there be a person as b-breathtaking as you...?"
A faint blush started to form on Aether's face when he realized he said that out loud. "I-I'm sorry, u-um adeptus Xiao..." Why am i stuttering so much?? I'm usually confident...?
Xiao's pov:
Who is this mortal? And why is he so damn cute? Ugh, that's why I shouldn't be near mortals... These feelings confuse me. I'm one of the great yakshas.
"What is your name, mortal?"
"It's Aether!" His golden braid swung to his shoulders, and he suddenly walked towards the yaksha.
"What are you doing, A-aether?" The name sounded so foreign but so calming at the same time...? Thank the yakshas I was wearing a mask, or else I would be a blushing mess.
Aether leaned in towards Xiao, and in one swift motion, took off Xiao's mysterious mask.

Uhhh so i guess this is the end of the 1st chapter of my first fanfic? TvT I hope you guys enjoyed it. Idk when i will update this fanfic but i would try to update it as frequently as possible ig ;-; Forgive me if i actually take to long to write it- And pls comment ur ideas if u hv any!! :D
