a little background to the characters: avanni,Micah,Travis & alani all grew up in Harlem New York, They been a friend group since young .
Travis has been avanni's best friend since they were 5&7 , they met infront of their apartment building as Travis was sitting on the steps in the hot nyc weather and avanni shared her caprisun with him ,Travis was one of the only kids that hanged with her , Travis always been protective over her , a lot people thought they were dating and there's a lot of people who still think that , they deny and deny but it was no use they just let it be but avanni has no type of feelings for her best friend but Travis on the other hand we don't know, they both still live in the same apartment building till this day . Micah & avanni met in the 2nd grade when Micah was getting bullied for repeating the grade & avanni stood up for him , they been close ever since & as they grew , they developed a big brother little sister friendship , they always get mistaken for siblings but they like to make people think that they are considering they both are Dominican & Brazilian and they always have the same mindset , they liked to call each other twins , they live 5 minutes away from each other .
Avanni and alani met in the 6th grade as there was a little rumor going around that alani had a crush on Micah which wasn't true , avanni found her one day in school in the bathroom crying because of it and comforted her and invited her to sit with her & Micah at lunch , alani hated the fact people just make jokes about her considering she was the new kid in school, she moved from Connecticut to New York because of her fathers death, avanni made her feel right at home and alani quickly became her only girl friend and they stuck like that , they live 10 mins away from each other .
Avanni was raised by her father as her mother left thinking she wasn't fit to be a mother , her dad had help from Travis's , Micah & and alanis mothers after all their kids are all best friends and they all were in each others apartments everyday .
