CHAPTER 2

CHAPTER 02 | RIDE IN TANDEM

NAGISING ako ng maramdaman ang lamig galing sa aircon. Dahan dahan kong inalis ang coat na nag silbing kumot sa aking pagtulog.

I turned my gaze and realized that I'm still at his office. Nahagip ng aking mata ang glass name board plate na nasa mesa n'ya, kumunot ang noo ko dahil itinatago n'ya iyon kanina pa. Cause of curiosity, bumangon ako at dahan dahan akong lumapit doon para tignan ang naka ukit n'yang pangalan.

Napabuntong hininga na lng ako. I know it!

He seems very familiar that I can't recall, now that I saw his name, I really confirm that he's the eldest son of Don. Guevarra that purposely destined to be my husband, even though I don't want to.

I'm totally aware on this marriage actually, since I was in New York.  So, what can I do? This is our father's want, for their selfishness sake.

"What a bastard.."    Ngumiti na lang ako ng mapait and shaked my head, can't believe that I meet him already.

He said that I would be his wife. So, I'm pretty sure that he knows me already.

Bumuntong hininga ako at ibinalik ang board plate sa mesa and checked the time at my wrist. It's already 7pm in the evening, i checked my phone and i got many missed calls from Kesia, so I text her that I was fine.

I sighed and go at the nearest window. I opened it and stare at the moon outside, I hugged myself when I felt cold. No stars above since it's raining. How could I get home?

"You're awake."

I turn my gaze at him. Kakadating n'ya lang, He take off his lab coat and hang it at his swivel chair. He take off his stethoscope as well and placed it into his table.

I stare him physically. So, this is him, My husband.. Not bad, tho.

He messed his hair and look at me.    " Hungry?"

I raised my brows, not answering his question. I turn my gaze outside again and stare at the sky's above.

" I'll order some food. We can't eat outside, It's raining."

"Pumayag ba ako?"   Pagtataray ko. I'll just want to test his patience.

"Ok, bahala kang magutom. "    I glared at him when he sit at his swivel chair and lean on.

He closed his eyes and breath heavily. And I find him attractive again, A simple gesture of his is been attractive, always.

Handsome doctor to be exact, he looks very clean.

I shooked my head to ruin that unhelpful thoughts of mine. I supposed to go out when he grab my wrist. His eyes remain closed.

"Where you going?"

"Uwi na'ko."

"Oh! Some doctor's are outside, It's look's unappropriate if you go out from my office, woman."

Inirapan ko s'ya and took a deep breath. He's right, sounds unhelpful pero may point s'ya.

"Besides.. you're done sleeping a fucking whole day, instead of duties."

Kumunot ang noo ko.    "I know. And you're the one who brought me here."

He chuckled and immediately open his eyes to faced me.     " It's my fault, huh?"
