"Who are you here with Miss Matthews?"
"Your new boyfriend, Harrison Montgomery?"
"Where is your date?"

I sighed and finally chose a reporter to get this over with. After I put on my fakest press smile, I walked up to him, "Hi! How are you this evening?"

He smiled back at me, "I am good? How are you?"

I looked around, "I'd say I'm doing pretty well."

We both laughed and he finally cleared his throat, "Who are you here with this evening?"

"I am actually here alone."

"No Mr Montgomery?"

"Believe it or not, we do not do everything together."

He nodded, "I heard you haven't been in a relationship since your high school girlfriend?"

Stick to your PR training.

"I haven't had the time." I laughed, "It's hard being me but Harrison gets the pressure and we make it work."

"Oh I bet." He looked down at his card, "I know you said you missed your friends from high school," He looked at me, "Do you miss your ex?"

What kind of question is that?

PR training.

"I think I'll always miss her just a bit, she was a  big part of my life during the worst part of my life so I appreciate her for that." I cleared my throat, "But Harrison and I are doing well."

Ophelia is going to kill me.

The redhead nodded his head while he listened. "Have you ever thought about reaching out?"

I laughed, "You have no idea." Snap out of it, "I am very happy where I am in my life. Thank you for the questions!"

I hurried to find Julia and Sofia after that. We're all going to Riley's house after this. Then I'm going to my new house here.

It's a really pretty house honestly.

I love it.

It gives very fairy garden vibes.

It's smaller and right on a hill that overlooks Los Angeles. It's a ten minute drive from the beach (with no traffic). And it fits me pretty well. Not too luxurious but enough to know a famous person lives there.

Kidd is helping me finish moving in.

And Teddy is spending a week with me for summer vacation.

"There you are!" Julia's arms wrapped around my neck as I walked towards the limousine. She's already drunk but we could have guessed that.

"Ignore her." And there is her keeper. "She's a little drunk.

"Clearly." I laughed and helped Julia into the car, getting in after her. I immediately slid those uncomfortable shoes off my feet and slouched.

Things you can't do in the public eye.

"I let Riley and Layla know we're on our way." Sofia's accent was shining tonight. That usually only happens in three situations: Her mom is in town, she's stressed, or she's high.

"Is your mother in town?" I smirked at her.

She shot daggers in my direction, "I smoked one blunt with Heidi. Don't."

I shook my head and looked out the window, "Could've invited me." Sighing, I looked back at her, "I don't like my love life being displayed everywhere. I mean, I never, ever, told anyone about my past relationships."

"I hate to say this, but someone can dig just a little bit and see old articles about Natalie Matthews: The undefeated lacrosse champion turned superstar and her high school life."

I groaned, "I miss Lacrosse. I won state for six years." High school and college until I went online.

"When I was in high school, I never dated. I fucked every girl I liked but I never settled." Julia sighed, "All because Jessica Ferraro didn't like me back." She kept her gaze out the window at the bright city.

Sofia and I's eyebrows were at our hairlines. I couldn't believe my ears and I'm 99% sure Sofia thinks she has a chance now. Everyone knows Sofia is in love with Julia except Julia.

She cleared her throat, "Anyway, I was homeschooled. But I had this crush on a boy who worked in the pub near my old apartment. He was a cutie for sure but I'm pretty sure I'm gay."

Julia's gaze shot to Sofia, "You think you're gay?"

Sofia shrugged lightly, uncomfortable with the attention of the whole car, "So what? I'm exploring my options."

"By exploring other girls bodies." Jax snorted, "I'm hilarious." She went back to texting on her phone.

Sofia sighed, shifting in her seat, "The sex with girls is better than guys. I feel like I'm floating on a cloud." She sat up a bit, "And don't get me started on their skin! They're so soft!"

I nodded, "I do miss that about being intimate with a woman. I mean, men are hairy. I hate it."

"Dyke mobile, holy shit." Sofia giggled, "It's like a Starbucks is on a field trip right now, there's so many gay people in one car."

We all laughed together and continued to talk about our high school experiences and what we think made us realize we like girls at least a little bit.

Shout out to Alicia Debnam-Carey by the way!
