Chapter Nine: Fun Times

"What do you want to be for Halloween?" Jisoo asked as she plated breakfast.

"You!" Jisu yelled from his seat.

"You can be me any day, why don't you dress up like a superhero, or be a pirate." Jisoo was trying and failing to come up with ideas.

She set the food in front of Jisu with a laugh when she saw the scowl on his face.

"I will be you, mama," Jisu said with finality in his tone.

The two sat together deciding on what to do for the day. Jisoo let Jisu throw out ideas but had other things in mind. When they finished breakfast and the kitchen was clean, Jisoo helped Jisu get dressed.

"What's your favorite animal?" Jisoo said while trying to teach Jisu to tie his shoes.

"Tigers, they go," Jisu growled as he jumped onto Jisoo.

Chuckling and spinning Jisu towards the door, Jisoo grabbed her keys to head out.

"Here mama," Jisu said as he grabbed their hats off the wall. Jisoo smiled and thanked him excited to spend the day together.

Once Jisu was safely in his seat and Jisoo was ready to leave, she turned on her truck and pulled out her phone. While setting up her GPS, her phone buzzed and a text came in from Jennie.

My Jendeukie♡: Missed you guys last night, can we FaceTime before Jisu goes to bed?

My Chu♡: I'll think about it ;)

My Chu♡: For now Jisu and I are headed out, I'll send pics. Don't get carried away in Sin City.

My Jendeukie♡: Gonna punish me if I do?

Jisoo thought about the question for a moment. They weren't technically together so she didn't have the right to be upset if Jennie did something. Jisu made his presence known and Jisoo decided it was time to end the conversation.

My Chu♡: I should punish you for asking.

My Chu♡: Our son is ready to leave now, I'll text later.

My Jendeukie♡: Fuck me, Daddy!

My Jendeukie♡: Ugh, tease me and leave me. Give him lots of hugs and kisses. The event starts in an hour so I may be too busy to respond right away.

Jisoo chuckled placing her phone down and turning to a smiling Jisu.

"Off to the zoo, baby boy."

"THE ZOO," Jisu yelled as they backed out of the parking spot and headed out for the day.

The day was long and enjoyable. The two ran from animal to animal taking pictures of everything they saw. Jisoo's favorite was a picture someone took of her holding Jisu up so he could feed a giraffe. She spoiled the little boy in the gift shop and they ate their weight in junk food.

It was now eight and she had just put him in bed after Face Timing Jennie. Knowing the other girl would be busy for a bit longer, Jisoo pulled out her notepad and began to write.

Since coming home, Jisoo found writing to be a cathartic release. In her free time, she worked on her autobiography. Focusing on her writing, Jisoo didn't realize how quickly time was slipping by. Her phone buzzed beside her pulling her from her thoughts.

Seeing what time it was, she decided to call Jennie before heading to bed.

"Did I wake you?" Jennie answered her phone sounding as tired as Jisoo felt.
